As far as I'm aware, Fisher is getting more tests done but will not play until he feels/gets better. Good luck, we need him!
This weeks games??
Going to go IB to beat Lobey, by 34 points, Wendelbourne to get best!
Barkeroos over OV, by 35 points, Block to step up and Leigh to kick 8.
TV to beat Raiders, by 80+ and Dale Ellis to kick 7.
Uraidla v Hahndorf, the cabbage just know how to win so I'll go with them in a close one, 16 points.
And the Woods over Lofty, by 21 points.

Tough round, 4 games could go either way!

I think you're either having a lend of us or you really don't know what happens in you're own club there Lebron.

Fisher is gone.

Correct. Told the playing group Tuesday night at training that he is retiring from footy.

Yeah it would be nice if it was kept quiet but seeing as everyone else knows, Fisher out for 2 years and it would take a miracle to get him to play again after that! Great player!

So lebron, who is the player the loyal locals will be paying their subs to? $1500 a game still the going rate? And by the way how is it your club with the largest population in the HFL is unable to field a C grade? Is there a culture problem out there?

Mt Barker might have a large population, but it is also just up the rd from most other clubs. Just because you live in the town doesnt mean you play for them. Plenty of folk have moved into the town as it develops, but have always played for another club. Also, it seems to be more common now for younger blokes in particular to jump over to a country club for A/B grade selection rather than play C grade.

So where's all your past players or blokes just wanting a casual kick? And surely there's at least a dozen blokes missing out on B grade selection week in week out, there's got to be some depth there. The fact you have some clubs just down the road doesn't wash with me, Blackwood, Ironbank and Mt Lofty are within close proximity to each other. All have a C grade. No excuses... Culture problem.

My tips for the week are -

Lobethal vs Ironbank – This should be a good game, Lobethal has improved tremendously this year even holding the lead against Uraidla for most of the game, but although Ironbank have only 1 win to show from 4 games, they have been competitive against other tough opposition in Blackwood, Mt Barker and Uraidla and maybe should have won 1 or 2 of them. So in-light of this, I’m tipping Ironbank by 6 goals with Wendelborn and Smith to be star performers.

Mt Barker vs Onka Valley – The apparent loss of Fisher to a season ending knee injury really hurts Mt Barker, and they’ll need Nunan, Block and some of there young kids to stand-up in his place. But Onka’s form hasn’t been all that flash over the last 3 games, losing to Torrens Valley, Blackwood and Mt Lofty so they’ll be out to change that this week, but I think the Mt Barker will still be too strong. Mt Barker by 5 goals with Nunan to be Best-on-Ground

Torrens Valley vs Bridgewater – Bridgewater they have been terrible so-far this season, and from all reports they are very undersized. After watching Torrens Valley last week, they were in the game for the first half against Blackwood but then lost there way. They have some big bodies in Jacques, James, and the Ellis brothers and plus some run in the mid-field with Mazzone and with hopefully having Billy Neely back this week. They’ll be too strong and "intimidating" for the smaller Bridgewater players. Torrens Valley by 10 goals with Ellis to kick a bag, and Mazzone to get Best-on-Ground

Uraidla Districts vs Hahndorf – Uraidla have continued there form from resent season with the usual players performing and some good local talent coming through, they’ll once again be one of the teams to beat. Hahndorf currently sit 1-3 with a good win over a much fancied Mt Barker side last week. With some good young kids and the experienced faces, they’ll take it right up-to Uraidla, but I think Uri’s will be too classy again. Uraidla by 4 goals, with the young kids Wotton, Kulvanek and Remnant to get in the best.

Mt Lofty vs Blackwood – This has been a bogey ground for Blackwood in past season, failing to get a win over Mt Lofty at Heathfield in over 5 years. Mt Lofty will be around the mark again with the usual players always performing well, but with some players returning this week and with the twin-towers in Dundovic and Roche up-forward they should have the class to beat. I’m tipping Blackwood to win by 3 goals, with McCormack, Edwards and Pope to be the star performers to the Woodies.

Onkas just to strong for us today, we battled well but Onkas led us all day, to the ball and on the score board. We are lacking a lot of deapth in our side and im starting to fear there is about to be a mutiny at the club that will end in Alby being chucked over board but i think Fisher is ready to take the top job.
I thought Shee was ok but Johno did a top job. Klun, Tanner and Kirwan kill us in the mid field I think the final margin was Onkas by 4 goals

Checking scores from Sporting Pulse it appears Lobethal did not hand any players over!
Massive scores against all Ironbank colts grades, A and A2 not up yet from anybody.

Mt Lofty over Blackwood by 3 goals give or take afew points. Blackwood lead by 13 points (6-3 to 3-8) at half-time and then couldn't score after half-time and Mt Lofty ran over the top. On the side note.

But I have many questions about the safety of Mt Lofty oval, in particular to the wall that is close to the ground on the clubroom side. A Blackwood player was bumbed or tackled (no exactly sure) close to the boundry-line and went into the wall, hitting his head on the concrete and being knocked-out. thankfully he woke-up and only had a cut to the back of his head. But how safe can this be? surely they whould have to have some padding on the wall or something for the protection of the players.

The distance from the boundary line to that wall meets the HFLs regulations, but you are right bertie some padding certainly wouldn't astray as clearly it is still a hazard, particularly on a dewy night.
