One big name yet to be confirmed but whispers are that he will still only be the third best keeper in the comp behind Wall and Burgess. They however have apparently signed ex Gawler Centrals player in Crothers and Angaston big man Koch in the past couple of days. Obviously chasing that illusive premiership and not worried about the reputation they club will get with these two signings. Quality pickups which will certainly put SC ahead of the pack in the most liked club award

Young crothers has put pen to paper as well as another but we have had to cover some losses. Ratcliffe and Hogan both are looking for a rest this season at this stage. And dont get too excited on the big name it wont happen.

Try outs begin soon... after last season there are quiet a few in the initial squad, but that will be cut to 12... might be a couple elevated out of the team from last year.

the bulls are having thier first training session next friday at trinity indoor nets... keen as mustard this year... all are welcome, 7pm start... $2 a player, the club is looking after some of the cost but obviously numbers will be lacking from our side so i thought illd throw it out there to the forum to see if there was some interest in joining some good blokes for a beer and a bash(mainly beers), the more the merrier

big talk around town is Boh Wall is getting chased by several clubs, not too sure how ango can fot in the two best keepers in the comp into one side, maybe they can swap gloves after each over and do an end each.

I am sure Burgess Snr will be more than happy to take up his gully spot again if it was to secure B. Wall to the club. definitely would help he batting depth at Angaston this year along with the return of a couple top order Batsmen backhome.

Think you will find there is optimism that Wall will play for Angaston, indeed after speaking with him, think it likely.

Northern Districts ARE looking at setting up base in the Barossa Valley at Gawler Central's Oval. Heard that today at the BLF game. Council met with Northern District officials to plan the oval and pitches on the oval and all set for about 3 years time to leave Salisbury Oval. Will effect BLCA cricket, but i am guessing that the SACA will not really give a toss about that - will happen in 3 or so years as well according to Gawler Central's boys and officials today.
