Mate you're lucky the Northern Expressway is finished, otherwise you'd be adding another 15-20 minutes by the time you get across to Main North Rd, past Elizabeth and Munno Para and then through Gawler.

You don't have to stop or slow down after the top of South Rd.

When's the last time The Crabs would have been red hot favourites heading into a game? They're a huge chance this week to break the drought, I hope Rossco has the words of the team song on hand Saturday just in case :D

More incorrect and un educated information. As i have stated re the TTG incident, MFC suspended the player involved and he played his 1st game back last week and is on notice. TTG are fine with the outcome, as the coach was also in wrong after leaving the coaches box area. (end of story)

The President is working hard to ensure that the events of last week dont occur again and i doubt they will. Never been an issue before.

We didn't have any trouble with Modbury, other than a stray elbow, but that happens.

Everyone seemed friendly enough... although the D Grade was just about equivalent to their C Grade, but again, that can happen with 3rd and 4th string sides.

Just to clarify we as in MLFC had no issues or troubles with Modbury Saturday.

I believe this is a situation between their supporters and the umpires we had on the day. They did cop quite a lot of abuse from the sidelines, some of which I couldn't believe was said and caused the umps to evacuate straight after the game quicker than i've ever seen before but like Footy Smart said this is something they'll take care of in conjunction with the league I dare say.

Went up with a mate and had a look at the game on Saturday AWW. Angle Vale were very impressive. There is a lot of speed in that side and TTG were unable to keep up with the run. I believe TTG did have a few guys missing including Mount who has been mentioned but still a very impressive win by the owls away from home.

Angle Vale the form side of the comp at the moment. Took a while to get going (Like CU in 2010) but should be outright favourites for the Flag now and will take some stopping.

By my counting we have had 3 different flag favourites already. First it was Mawson lakes, then it was SHOC, now it is Angle Vale.

Bookies nightmare. Personally I haven't seen or heard of anything that would make Mawson Lakes at longer odds than Angle Vale. However, the Owls have definitely snuck under the radar and are the red hot side of the comp.

Probably about time we had an updated market actually;

Mawson Lakes - $2.90
Angle Vale - $3.50
Sacred Heart - $3.75
Tea Tree Gully - $5.00
Mitchell Park - $6.00

North Pines - $8.00
Athelstone - $10.00
Flinders Uni - $35.00
Modbury - $50.00
Bye - POA

More than happy to hold these bets if there are any takers :)

I agree with the order you have given otherwise though Morell...MLFC would have to still be the faves, followed closely behind SHOC and AV.

Great to see a good battle ahead though as a few months back I thought MLFC would do it in a canter.

I would just like to say I have played and coached against modbury fc and have nothing but good comments for both players and the club. We had a player who stopped and helped one of modbury's c grade players who thankfully after some scanes wasn't hurt and can still play football. Its more of the case that ever club has a few bad eggs as supporters that put a bad name on a club. I have no issue with the MFC and love the play against them. My club had a d grade player who thought it might be a good idea and get into a fight with a c grade MFC player, as a club we said sorry to MFC and made a point of when we played them at Modbury that both d and c grade teams went into the club and had a beer and much to our suprise Modbury bought us beers. The club isn't bad, maybe some people souldn't throw stones!

At no stage were our C grade going to walk off. Infact the umpires were going to walk off.

The supporters were told to calm down at 3/4 time by the Football Club President and Sporting Club VP and they did.

The ute that spun its wheels was not assiociated with MFC.

In saying this, abusing an umpire is not acceptable however by all reports neither was their performance  .

Thanks for clearing it up mate. can you let me know y the umps considered walking off then? Was it from the constant barrage of abuse they received?

Did you think you were getting the wrong end of the stick or were Mawson lakes a better team?

They obviously thought we were getting the wrong end of the stick if they were yelling out! No doubt ML's A grade side will be a better side than our C Grade  .

In my opinion and those around me, your D grade team would beat your C grade team. is it also true that some blokes refuse to play C grade because of the coach?

Footy_Smart just wondering if you can answer this for me mate?
