Birdwood can gob off now , BUT the Brookers wont give up that lead again.
I am not involved at Kersbook at the moment ( have been ) BUT still respect how they go about things.
They've got nothin' to gob off about ol' bluey, it was a draw. They only played good footy in the first and last anyway so shouldn't have much to crow about.
You go to the reunion Satdy?

How do the other sides look in this stat? Any other posters want to add theirs up for their club?
I would think Sedan/Cambrai would have the highest.

Milang have 12-14 locals playing C's every week. Nearly everyone on the playing list is local or used to be.

I'm not aware of too many high priced imports in Ironbank's C Grade either

Only one season (amazing as it was)is not enough to jump on the band wagon. I would have felt embarrassed there amongst all the premiership heroes of yesteryear down at Brook Park. I might go to the next one when everybody has forgotten what a hack I was. In the mean time I'll do my reuniting down at the Tavern.
Maybe the Roosters will have a reunion one day, I might get a guernsey to that one on time served if nothing else.

great contest between the midfields hard to seperate
dawson huge for the roosters up forward as was bingos and when the ball hit the deck lees too for the brookers.
I would ask the rooster never to put mish bingos and conrad morris up against each other again that was a terrible call morris kicked 3 all from over the top hand passes 0 contested possies a real good callington forward there would never trouble the scorers in a strugglin side.
im ready to admit Morris might of had a bad day...but he did kick 5 against Echunga, so he can play against the good sides, no doubt about that. As for Bingos, i've played a fair bit of footy against him in the past and never thought he was much good, but i'm definitely willing to concede he's improved a lot.
sounds like an awesome game of footy... and for birdwood too come back from 5-6 goals down at three quarter time and grab a draw after the siren, not suprised the boys would have a big sense of relief and celebrated some!
Was an awesome game Rooster. Expected big things from Birdwood but while they were impressive they are far from a dominating force I was led to believe for Hills Country. Morris (who calls their kid Conrad!) was smashed by Quill and yes his goals were 'Cheap' crumbing ones. Bingos after being in bed all week with the flu played admirably and with Lees provide a dangerous combination up forward. Apples v Mcgahey was a good battle and the Dawson bloke can play.
Still gotta say though Rooster, played a game called 'Spot the Local' during your A grade performance and couldn't find too many. Muster, Smith and Moerman (any 100 game players? maybe Moerman and that's it?) were a few but no wonder you blokes train in town one night a week. Rumor has it you blokes have a budget Gary would be proud of. McGahey rocked up in a BMW, Morris rode in on a Harley and Krieg was flown in on his own private jet. Now you wouldn't want to finish 2nd at the end of the year when you're spending like that!

Old Blue New Tiger wrote:I think it is great that Birdwood aspires to return to Central, and thay are probably the best Club in Country to do so. Kersbrook would struggle up there from a Junior perspective . Echunga would certainly be next best to handle it, however I doubt whether they would be interested. One of the Clubs better start thinking about it because Bridgy surely will struggle to stay up.
No I didn't make the reunion McGovern , I had commitments with my kids sports in other leagues. Sounds like it was a cracker of a game , reminded me of the 93 GF at Mt Pleasant, when the LEDGENDARY Andrew' Bear' Newman kicked one with about 30 secs on the clock. I reckon Birdwood were down by about 9 at 1/2 time and nearly grabbed the chocolates.

Think your making up stories jumbo tell us the names & whats the connection. why would 3 potential superstars leave central division clubs to play country div if they are that good?

I have to agree. If they were superstars I can't see Sturt being too happy about them moving to play Country football.

Interesting comment! Obviosly it is more common for sturt to find talent in the central devision as it is of a higher standard. However i was dissapointed recently that i heard from a member of a country club that two young talented players were encouraged (not told but it was suggested to them) to leave there club and join a particular central club ( in this case mt barker) by sturt! Surely if a young player is good enough to play down town it should not matter were they play localy!
