Big numbers.
I know of at least one long term player who has missed a game there in recent weeks.
A situation Brown's Well never thought it would see itself in, I'm sure.

And yes, the Barmera bangers are the best thing about playing Lakeside! They are sensational.
Great stuff, Kelvin!

Sounds like they're really struggling up at Wunkar at the moment.

This has been happening every week BG. Started pre season with great numbers and looked like giving it a shake unfortunately through injury and others not giving a stuff, we find ourselves in the position we are. We are no strangers to struggling and i'm sure as in previous years we will bounce back again!!!

1 played 16 Hills Country reserves games in 2010
1 played 3 senior games in a second tier NTFL competition in 2010
2 cleared in 2011 from the RMFL did not play any senior games in 2010
2 who played on Saturday do not appear on the Brown's Well sporting pulse player list or clearance list.

If this is fact KW, how do they fit them all in the under the points system? Have they relaxed the points system or are they doing dodgies???

I not 100% sure but they are entitled to 15 points, may be more because they have finished bottom the last few years.

The 3 RMFL A grade players would be worth 2 points each for 6 in total.
The rest have played more B grade than A grade so would be 1 or 0 points meaning thay could still have room for a few more.

Maybe some one with a better knowledge of the points system could elaborate.

Basher McCracken wrote:I think Raeder, Vagg, Sampson, Jack Barker, Kirk Harwood, Martin Barber are all former Barmera juniors? Is that right? Any more?

Big questions for Roo supporters: Simon Peucker, if it is not delivered to him on a platter, does this guy ever take a contested grab or score a goal from general play?
Who picked best players? Michael Smart was named the Roos best, playing on Kirk Harwood, who kicked three goals and had 35 possessions from a wing. Mind you, don't think Harwood even got in the Demons best but I thought he was BOG, closely followed by Scholefield (27 touches, 4 goals and MOTY contender) and Safralidis, again very solid across half back. Darren Perry was clearly the best for the Roos. Perry oozes class IMO. Quality player.

Yes all them played junior footy at Barmera,Peucker has taken a few contested grabs this year and has scored a few goals in general play. Your spot on OS with Perry being best for Barmera and Harwood would be close to BOG,also Ridgway was impressive, done a job on young Tyson Linsday[/quote]

Watched this game saturday also
was entertaining but watching from the side how could Barmera leave a guy sitting loose in front of Puecker without making him accountable...doesnt matter how good you are 2 on 1 is hard to beat. Perry was good but didnt have an opponent all day and until the last quarter played in defence and read the footy well. the loose bloke Berri put back job was made easier by very poor delivery! Perry goes on the ball in the last quarter and nearly turned game on its head but was too late, damage was done.

Three of the Oxborrows (Tom, Michael and John), Fiegert, Clint Martin,Tootell and Matt Wynne (although had an injured heel) all played against us.
Can't see them troubling Lyrup this week to be honest.

I wonder if Gallard will play? He was named in the SA squad to play against Qld at Blacktown, NSW, for the state championships.
Maybe he didn't make the final SA team...

Ventured out to Loxton North today to see the Panthers run all over Barmera (in the last quarter) to win by 5 odd goals.
Couple of observations:-
-Tim Arnold is a clearance king
-Nathan Brown oozes class and keeps running all day
-Geordie Franks was a very good focal point and probably kicked about 6 goals (missed a few too). Downside is that fully in love with himself, his nickname should be mirrors!!
-More bad injuries for the Roos today with Lachie Middleton and Jack Selfe suffering knee/ankle injuries
-Steak sandwich was fine but the hot dog was awful  Hard to describe but it tasted BAD

Good win by North. I reckon there's a few surprises left in this competition though.
No raging premiership favourite. What's the go with Loxton, they're the RFL enigma at the moment.
Can anyone comment on Renmark's win?

I hear there were some interesting injuries in the Moorook camp this week...
And, Goof Smith kicked 2.11, I understand.

And a Moorook-Kingston player got lost on his way to East Murray. He ended up in Pinnaroo and turned up
at half time. It was made even more funny by the fact he could have caught the bus for a cheap fee but ended
up spending $50 on petrol driving through the Mallee.

Berri steak sandwich a little on the chewy side again on the weekend. However, I was that hungry I could have eaten the front wheel off of a menstraul cycle so I went for the old pork riblet in a roll. Bloody brilliant.
