Interesting results from the tribunal last night:
- Bondy for us got 2 games (we thought he might get 1)
- Coghill 1 game for the original incident, that apparently the umpire didn't see. Will be missed by Pooraka this week that's for sure.
- John Beer with 2 games and a $200 fine - since when does the SAAFL hand out fines to go along with your suspension?!

PH have definetely been unlucky, but players getting injured and moving for work is always going to happen, just have to hope your club has the depth to manage.

Avoiding places like Savvy will also help ;)

Might be a stupid question (nothing different some would say) but would he attract points? also with the closing of the registrations last month would he be an automatic start due to his affiliation with the school or how does taht work. If he was signed before hand great work keeping that one quiet.

Birdy and Prior were targeted? Who's Birdy and Prior? i would safely say that no-one at pooraka has heard of birdy or prior, if they got some treatment it wouldn't have been a plan or they had been targeted, we wouldn't target players why is any one or two players special, it's not how we go about it.

Physical, hard & aggresive football is different to undiciplined football. Believe Muffler/Felch are more refering to unnecessary things off the ball - mouthing off to umpires, putting players heads into the group after a contest, etc. Usually things that result in 25 m penalties if umpires see them. There was a rediculous number of 25 m penalties paid on Saturday, I would say close to 20 (both ways).

If you don't know who Bird & Prior are - you aren't researching your opposition well enough. And you'd be silly not to target them, both good players from Portlands side.

Was it a bit drier down Port-way? 17 goals is a high score if you were in similar conditions to us - was very wet and slippery, and you'll be glad to know the quagmire in the middle is back ;)

It was a touch drier down our way, but our ground holds up well also. We did kick 9 goals in the first quarter, that always helps the scoreline. Only kicked 8 in the next 3 quarters.

And Piccachu - i wasnt saying they were targeted in a dirty way, but they definately knew who they were after - i was watching from right behind Pooraka's bench for a period of time !

,I agree about the 25 m penalties, but some responsibility the players have to accept, but those umpires really do need to lift. Is it too much to ask to have umpires that can talk to players with respect, when things get a bit heated or a call goes against a player, would it be better if they calmly said” no. no…you were high, your hand slipped around his neck” Rather than flipping out when a player asks why the umpire thought it was high and automatically trying to dish out as many 25’s as possible? Umpires at SANFL level make bad call’s, but get more respect from the players by corresponding in a calm, respectful manner, and the game is not marred by over officiating…if the free is there pay it, but don’t expect that a player might not think he did anything wrong and don’t be so precious when he ask’s for clarification. C’mon SAAFL help these guys, teach them properly.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

Pooraka v Pembroke this week is a game that interest me, Coghill is a huge out for Pooraka to me seemed to be the rock in there back half and held everything together, without him back there i think Poorakas back 6 may be a big weekness and Pembroke to me seemed they had the capability of kicking a big score as they have some pretty good forwards, im basing this comment on the very little i have seen of both sides but am very interested to see how this game pans out

from what i have heard been playing CHB all year (atleast did against us and seaton) and against us was BOG and from reports from seaton players was great against them. against us it looked like he kept things together back there and without him they may get a big score kicked against them, we will soon see

If he hasn't played any footy in the last 24months he is a zero.

Do smosh get the same rule as other college clubs, if a player has played footy for the school there classed as a jnr? I thought this rule was only in place because the college teams didn't have jnr teams. I would of thought that as smosh have jnr's then only those that played jnr's for the club would be zero points and not the ones that went to st mics.
