P.S ...**This is just relaying what I have heard at the track and is not my opinion.

This alleged news has been going around awhile, presume Balak cup and balak meetings to be moved to gawler...all strath meetings to MB...seems a shame when the only way of fixed problems in racings seem to be to close down clubs and sell racecourses.

I know little about horse racing but surely Balak is a better track than the 200m home straight of Gawler?

Balak is a much better track, Hayes takes many of his horses to balak as it is a good track for horses to learn racing and get experience on a decent track..... it comes down to how well each individual club is going financially I think and the local support.....
Will be a sad day if we lose the Balak Cup day......

Waikerie..... the Sha Tin of Australia..... werent they tossing up with Port Augusta as well......lol

Last year I filled the Grand Slam.

Adelaide Cup.
Oakbank.
Balaklava.
And the biggest of the big, like Wimbeldon,The Quorn Cup.The single greatest weekend in any married mans life.(Only 9 weeks to the next one).

If Balak's was taken from me,I would have to find another meeting to go too.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
