Should be a great game Echunga vs Birdwood. But first the Roosters will have be get over Kangarilla.

Well forgot how cold and miserable it is in the hills this time of year. A great day for Birdwood today, wins in all grades. The A grade lived up to expectations. It was very tight untill the third quater when Birdwood got a run on. Echunga never really got back into the game after that. Stewie Moreman's 150th game was a ripper. The young Ruckman for Birdwood Jock McLeay had a great game. Sam Cranna really needs to concentrate on playing footy, he seemed to be easily distracted. The beer grade was wonderfull entertainment. The Birdwood team seems to really have their act together they are playing really good footy.
Altogether a great day. Well worth the journey.

I don't know it felt pretty cold and miserable to me! :(

Both can't agree and stake claim to recruiting SJ.
Will SJ bypass rookie of the year and win the Golden Whistle on debut?

From what i've heard Mad Dog and Johnny Holmes are both on the same page when it comes to SJ. They both wish he would take a breath and stop talking for 5 mins so they could get a word in!
Have seen SJ umpire a few games this year and apart from fitness he goes alright.

Great game at Birdwood 1 point at three quarter time with Birdwood to good in the last. Don't think it made it into Echunga's forward line the whole last quarter?

Yep, despite the weather, it was a very good day for the club with wins in every grade.
Was really surprised to see Cranna in the BP's for Echunga - I thought he was well below his par, especially compared to his last game against us and big Jock took the choccies this time.
Loved the banter coming from the Echunga B grade before the game as well. Something along the lines of "You boys might as well forfeit now"!! Very confident coming from a team that got flogged by us last time and ended up the same result this time!!
Now bring on the B grade courier cup clash against Meadows in a couple of weeks time!

A lot of sprouting off on here after Birdwood's win against Echunga on the weekend. Need to remind our Rooster posters that with their budget similar to what Gary Hughes would be proud of, anything less than a premiership for Birdwood would be deemed an epic choke.

Fair win by the Roosters. And 150 games is a huge achievement for a Birdwood player. No one usually hangs around that place for that long! Who was the last bloke to play that many at Birdwood? Baz Pfeiffer?

Isn't it a known fact that Birdwood are trying to buy their way back into Central Div like Torrens Valley did. I guess they're thinking if it's good enough for the goose, well.........

The only player in that list who has played more B grade than A's is Pud, so you're a fair way off the mark.

even Pud played a good amount of A grade games early on.
Rusty 50/50 - B grade and A grade.
Lachy, Jum & Chris Moerman would be almost all A grade.

Geez I hope Ryan McGahey doesn't play 150 games at Birdwood for their survival sake. 150 X $700 = $105,000!!!!! That's a lot of pies and pasties
