would be like swapping the water logged footy at half time. Pity about the showers though. I also noticed a new government sign out the front...? any news on possible ramifications to the Lions?

They are about to spend approx. 15 Million on making the old High School a "Super School" from R-7 with kids from some surrounding primary schools which they are closing down. Hopefully they can put a roof over the oval to please Snapparazzi  . Work has already started, the workers were responsible for shower temperature dramas on Saturday. They are keeping all current land eg. our oval. Hopefully more kids for our juniors.

Really good news for Lonsdale then.. Surley the club is making a plan to share a program with the school. As I understand the clubs that are struggling do not have a relationship with a local school.

Has been discussed at length and plans have already been put in place. Going to be an interesting next 5 years for the Lions with the option of moving into the new complex near South a possibility also.

You could get a marquee, stick some armchairs in it and perhaps a mini bar - Lonsdale 'Gold Class' seating, charge extra at the gate for admission. Might be on to something here... ;)

Can't believe you where not in last years best 21 under 18s side and winning the Bgrade BNF under the wing of 300+ game legand Anthony Farrugia who seen Tyson talent (Not Ralph)! It's si wrong that people still running and at that club are now so happy to put there hands out taking credit for his success, when they said he wasn't good enough and only playing Bgrade because his dad was fudges assistance coach.

Fisho's tips:

Aldinga v Flaggies
Morphett Vale v Marion
Twisties v Hackham
Shoes v Brighton
Lonsdale v Townies
Reynella v Valley
Porties v Christies

All winning margins to be >15 goals except for Shoes/Brighton and Reynella/Valley. I predict both of these to be close ones. To be honest I think the Shoes/Brighton game could go either way, and I think the Vikings will give Reynella a surprise.

Real big test this week for both the Bombers and the Wineflies. Both teams should get a few players back into the sides from both representative footy and injury but will definitely be close games. Still tipping the Flies and Bombers to get up but will be less than 2 goals in both games.

It will be interesting to see how good the two challengers to the top four are in Noarlunga and the Valley against quality opposition. The other game which may be closer than you think may be the towns and lonsdale game (Could blow out though you never know).

Wow Noarlunga must have been ultra-defensive - only kicked 1pt in last qtr, yet were leading by 37 pts at 3/4 time, or did Brighton go into overdrive?

NOARLUNGA:
4-2 (18), 7-3 (45), 10-9 (69), 10–10 (70)

BRIGHTON:
2-1 (13), 3-5 (23), 4-8 (32), 11–11 (77)

Flaggies very good yesterday. Too good for us. Very fit and had their crumbers in the right place at all times. It was good to see the Sharks coming home strong in the final quarter, though - we usually fade out by then. I reckon we outscored Flaggies 6 goals to 4 in the final quarter. Got to take the positives and keep working on things. Anyway, it was a good game of footy to watch - there have been several this year, makes a nice change from the one-sided floggings. :)

Just noticed I used 'good' about four times in the above paragraph; this is what sleepless nights with a shrieking baby will do to the brain.

As expected both games very close with both the Bombers and the Flies having to come from behind to get the win. Pity my AFL tipping isn't as good as this!!! ](*,)

Without wanting to be overly negative yesterdays A grade game HV v Reynella gave cause for concern for valley moving forward. HV were up by 3 goals at 3 qtr time and lost by 3 goal
The a grade coach was supposedly sick but managed to go and watch the noarlunga v brighton game and left the assistant coach in charge who did well but was outcoached in the last qtr where he left a young player on the Reynella FF in the last qtr who kicked 3 on him in the last 20 minutes.

HV have recruited well but player management again remains an issue - a high profile recruit played b grade for disciplinary reasons

The depth of talent has to be concern for the club - b grade have a lot of c graders playing and the 18s are a disgrace with half the team and the coach not turning up for training regularly.

My view from my car high on the hill yesterday was good at times but I really hope the club can sort itself out in the senior grades so we see the true potential of these 3 teams realized

He ended up with 5 goals in the last quarter, not a bad effort to say the least.
Who was the A grader playing in the B grade, was it number 2? Played mainly up forward?
