After this game finishes it will be
NEW REB WALES 44 CUPS
TASMANIA 1 CUP

NS 2ND X1 8/207
JAQUES 82
LAMBERT 43*
DOUGGIE 3*
HILFEXPRESS 3/79 must play more for Australia than Tassie in future
BUTTERWORTH 2/20 allrounder of enourmous potential, big improver bat and ball this season
DAMIEN AGRO WRIGHT 3/38 hes back from injury, TA version of Andre NEL.

Good to see a p/cup final played on a pitch not a road for a change.
TA have done well with the ball, as WRIGHT +GRIFFITH are still not 100% fit.

HILEXPRESS knocked over the top order, whatta bowler
53 wickets in the P/C and another 3 today whatta bowler
Bowled a ball at 145kms today whatta bowler
He is dynamite with a new ball whatta bowler
He bowls at you with the old ball, pressure personified whatta bowler
Scared the shit outa THORNLEY whatta bowler
Hit JAQUES in the head whatta bowler

First time Ive seen Grant LAMBERT bat and he looks impressive 43*
Dubbed the "could be anything" a few years ago, maybe now we can see why
He bowls OK
He bats very correctly, too correct for a number 6
One wonders how SMITH bats in front of LAMBERT
He hit a record amount of runs in grade cricket recently, ifs that true I can see why
He hit 4 glorious offside fours in one over today
REB is he any good ?

NEW REB WALES 2ND XI still 133 behind
Only a spell of proportions by aging Stewie MACGILL can swing this game.
TA have got one and a half hands on the Cup
REB [-( sorry.

Agree Mal, great pitch. There was talk about it being a possible road, most finals are but 18 wickets for around 650 runs is great cricket. NSW aren't out of it just yet but they will need the tail to wag and rip through the Tassie top order again. The Tassie tail can be thanked for this... 5/94 they were at one stage.

Good call Rooster. The Tigers have played the better cricket for longer in this match and deserve to be on top. We should have knocked them over yesterday but they got away from us.

Cannot argue with that. Hilfenhaus will become a fine International cricketer. It's only a matter of time.

The only problem with the Pura Cup final is that the home side only needs to draw to win the comp. Fair enough that they get this advantage but it could potentially spoil what could otherwise be a fantastic finish with both sides chasing the victory. Now all Tassie will do is bat and bat and bat NSW right out of the game. Only some very good bowling and fielding can give NSW a chance from here.

Very good points RR
BUT
If its a draw the option would be to play the game again the following week
If they draw 3 games in a row with breaks it would be mid april trying for a result
it snows in hobart about then

Hooray mal actually thinks someone does something better than Watto

He will be a sensation anywhere he plays but the English conditions will make him almost unplayable. Terry Alderman anyone
