Bayman: you may have to apologise to Allen Gaskell as they haven't used the whip pads since the start of this season.

Allen Gaskell's comment was ridiculous anyway, he should look in his own home state NSW especially country harness meetings
where they may as well forget the whip rule as they flog the horses with no apparent penalty

Was in the car this morning when an ad came on for whatever series is being ran at GDP at the moment...

the thing that got me is not the price of admission, which i thought was pretty cheap, but the free entry for the 'children' part...

Nothing wrong with that as it saves a few $$ for a family that may be enticed to make a night out of it. The part that bugged me though was the 'small print' at the end stating children are 16 & under. I know that is the usual for most sports events, movies etc.. But at a venue where the main attractions could be deemed as gambling and drinking, both of which under 18's cant partake in, wouldnt it be more sensible to let all 'children' into the course free?

Think i read somewhere the inquiry is in about 3 weeks ????

Anyway Smoken Up resumed tonight at Melton and put up an amazing effort to win after travelling wide for a fair part of the race. Ran about 1.52 for the sprint trip.

KARLOO MICK......

What a iron horse! The rising 11 y.o. continues to amaze with his toughness after sitting 3 wide and then to the death and outstaying his apparently more fancied oponents in the Spring Cup last night at Menangle. Sat outside Mr Anthony and ground him into the Menangle dust whilst the more fancied Make Mine Cullen and the over rated Captain Joy who both enjoyed cosy trails couldn't get close to him in the run to the line.
For those who missed the luxury odds dished up last night, dont worry, there's still a few more wins in those old legs yet. Just keep following e.way in anything he contests, the harder the races the better.

The quicker we get $1.04 Minimum payouts the better! Nothing worse than watching your horse/dog going around with your hard earned on it for no possible reward.

Appeared tonight at Menangle for the 1st time since last month and duly saluted Easily in an average field. Paid $1.40 across all 3 totes BUT the Early Bird always catches the worm :D and the $1.80 fixed odds offered by both Tabs when opening their markets was much appreciated. And for anyone that did follow up e.way as suggested, could've got $1.13 a place.
