Mister Footy I wouldn't use that as an excuse for getting beaten in C Grade, that is a very good Emu side especially with the likes of Mat Joreslafsky now playing.

Counted about 2 players with more C grade games than B's? Noarlunga looked to have a few key posie players out

Did some research. Of Noarlunga's four leading goal kickers (Tasker, Nyland, Hocking & Trowse) only Nyland and Trowse played. Contributed 2 goals. For Happy Valley, all four leading goal kickers (Grundy, Williams, Rodgers and Evreniadis) played and contributed 8 goals between them. Appears the Shoes may have been a bit light on.

Names like Michael Byrne, Paul Hayford, Shane Fishlock, Ryan Campbell, Daniel Coletti, Sam Lock, Andrew Everton, Andrew Milsom, Billy Carroll and Chris Hanna. If I am not mistaken all these players are multiple A and B grade premiership players. Any reason why they are not playing higher grades at Morphett Vale?

Joras has helped out the last 2 weeks due to very low numbers. The A's and B's have had easy games so lots of guys have been rested. Byrne retired recently from a grade as his body was struggling. Loves a kick and plays when his body will let him. Hayford is 35 and has calves that cant get through a training session, let alone a game. Fish got talked into a game when we were short just because he was standing in the wrong place at the wrong time on a saturday afternoon. Campbell has played a bit of both grades due to injury and form, Coletti works and can only play on occasions, Locky may work saturdays (not sure), Millsy has only played a couple, Billy works away and has a kick on the weeks he comes home, and Chris Hanna is the coach.

Hope that clears a few things up. All in all, it has been bloody hard just to get a side on the park this year, thats why so many players have donned the guernsey.

Happy Valley have been going to shake things up for the last 3 years. They simply werent good enough on the week-end Mister Footy good to see you there. The way we are playing we wont be hanging around long in september.

MateeG.... Leo has got it spot on. All sorts of reasons why these players aren't playing in higher grades, but its great to see that all these long time club servants will help out when the going gets tough and the numbers are short. As you know the older you get the more commitments outside football increase and you just cant pick players in A's and B's when they dont train, wouldnt be fair to all the outstanding bunch of young fellas busting there ass and certinly not the culture we want to set down at the EMUS.

With probably the easiest draw out of the top 8 does anyone think flaggys could sneak into a top four finish?? Looking at the draw there is going to be some great games to view over the next 5 wks.. Almost like a month of finals footy befor finals which is great prep for the teams that have earnt their place and top viewing for the supporters..

It will be good to see two teams hungry to prove to all of the association that they have arrived maybe as apremiership contender. Also I believe that there is premiership reunions happening at noarlunga on saturday for the 1986, 1991 and of course the 2001 premierships on saturday at the oval. My tip would be that the shoes should win for all the old fellas. (6-12 points)
