[When did Mal Greenwood play there?
quote]

I am not certain how long ago, maybe 10 years ago now or so i think. I think he went from there to West then Glenelg or something like that.

So he was a junior there? He would have been very young when he played there.
Going by your time frame, I don't think you can include him as a loss, because his family came back to live in the Riverland where they're from.

His senior playing career started at 16/17 with Barmera-Monash, then went to Westies, before playing at Loxton, then Glenelg and now Tanunda.

Word Around Town - you mention Webber, as in Matthew? Former fast bowler who stitched up Steve Waugh as a junior cricketer?
Can he play footy or what?

Bottom line boys, Rosie's are a poorly managed and operated club, they are a bunch of bafoons who have been buying quality players and turning them into meatheads.

Portland - Felch you call what you have a junior program? Please

FM i am not sure if Webber played cricket or not, i am guessing he didnt play for Australia though. Are you getting confused with Darren Webber, who played for SA?

He was a good junior footballer, i am not even sure he is still playing.

Do you or did you play cricket Newman?

Tell me Felch - do you have a junior development coach or a talent Id Coach at Portland? Do you have a junuior fitness and nutrition advisor? Do you have any linkages that are excepted by any league club in the country? Do you have an AFL scout dedicated to watching a particular amount of your junior grades?
That is what a Junior Program is mate not simply a huge amount of kids per team with the usual coach and his assitants etc.
Not knocking the wood mate but a program is a bit ahead of yourself.

Anyway.

Nah I meant Matthew Webber, Ive run into him a few times at the Casino, Newman he tells the same story you do re S.Waugh. By the time I get to him at the cas though he actually has the ball with him and is trying to flog it off to the highest bidder to get back on the tables.

I think you a back-pedalling abit their FM. I also think you are being a pedant - the term program was used pretty loosely. But dont worry, i will be sure to let Fester, Rob Howie and especially Pete Wareing know that you think they are doing an unprofessional job. I know Pete loves to debate with people who bag him :axe:
