Wouldn't the Centrals V Sturt game be televised as it is the only game on week 2 of the split round?

Correct, it is, I just missed it off my original post, which I will updated accordingly below.

The lack of broadcast games this year at Prospect is a result of elements out of the 2 stations control. With the construction site and upgrades being done at Prospect, there has been a few issue in regards to the ISDN line needed to broadcast a game. I think it was fixed but then there were issues again, and a few other issues as well, resulting in more non broadcast games for Roosters fans.

If you ask TSG, the Eagles already have a good run with the telly as it is ;)

I would assume it is about giving all the clubs as even a distribution of TV games as possible, not necessarily about which will be the most entertaining game mate.

North v Centrals get no broadcast
West v Eagles get TV and Radio coverage

Surely it wouldn't be too difficult for the 3 main media outlets to talk to each other

They do, this is how the allocations are allocated !!!

I understand your frustration being a North fan abroad JTC, but I think there are a few issues with the line at Prospect again.

So you're saying RPH asked ABC which game they were covering in rnd 17 and then decided they would cover the same game.

And the sense in that is...... BP?

No, not at all, complete opposite.

I'm suggesting that the continual issues with the media facilities at Prospect JTC are the contributing reasons behind games not being called at Prospect this year.

I am also assuming this is the same reason again (line issues) with the no broadcast at Prospect again this week, but don't know for certain?

So RPH was going to cover North this week but had to change it's plan. That's fair enough BP. Pretty farsighted of RPH to know the line would be down this week considering the games are allocated so far in advance.

I hope the programmers never enter the tipping comp. They'd win it hands down with their ability to see the future ;)

Yeah, but the line issues have been ongoing all year. I only said I assume RPH aren't calling there this week due to line issues, I didn't say it actually was the reason.

I don't know the actual reason, sorry.

What I find annoying is that ABC TV seem to repeat fixtures between two teams throughout the year. This year Eagles v Glenelg will be broadcast twice and Eagles v West has been broadcast twice. Surely once a match between two teams has been shown that combination should not be repeated.

Last year two lots of Centrals v South, I recall South and West being broadcast twice a couple of years a go and in 2009 I think two lots of Glenelg v North.

Last weekend rather than Eagles v West it should arguably have been Glenelg v Port (given where they are on the ladder) and rather than Glenelg v Eagles in rd 21 perhaps South v West.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Pretty sure its not on ABC next Saturday. According to footy budget it is only being broadcast on RPH (no TV).

Have heard that ABC are only allowed to broadcast one game per round (with the exception of ANZAC weekend) and can not do the game next week.

Fair enough...

I posted the initial allocation based on email that was sent out to the various broadcasters about 3 weeks ago. Things could have changed since then?

On the ABC coverage of the West v Eagles game last week, at the end of their coverage, as they do each week, indicated their next game to be shown and from memory, I'm pretty sure it was the Central v Sturt game.

Maybe CK can elaborate?

Who is imposing the restriction - the ABC or the SANFL?
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.
