Just putting it out there, but obviously there was no ‘interleague’ this year.
Not sure what’s planned for next year, but if nothing was organised, what about say a North Vs South Game.
You could have the best from Birdwood, Kersbrook, Gummy & Sedan Vs the Best from Echunga, Meadows, Kangarilla, Maccy, Callington & Nairne (Nairne could also go to the North side???).
What are the posters views on this? Could it work, would it be a good game, & those who have seen all teams play what might the teams look like.

Just putting it out there…

I posted the same concept last year, except with the Central clubs as well.

North - Bird, Kers, Gum, Sedan, Loby, TV, Uri, , Onkas, , Mt L, Bridgy

South - Mead, Maccy, Kangy, B/Wood, Hahn, IB, Ech, Mt B, ,Nairne, Call

Perhaps if the league dictated that all players must have played at least 20 junior games in the Hills or something. Could add a bit of interest.

What a game that would have been! any news from someone at the game? were birdwood a bit over confident or did the gums team just play out of their skin? Gimp, the informer any comments?

what a battle it is looking to be for coach of the year  thommo v's mitchal

Yep was a close game and Gum played very well. Was definately chalk and cheese compared with last time we played them. We had our chances but were certainly not at our best and not good enough to win on the day. Quinten Graham played an absolute cracker and if he shelved his behind-the-play hits he would be much more respected around the league.
Hopefully the boys can turn it around this week in the big match for the Burns-James cup against Kersbrook.

On a side note, and I reckon the majority of the Gum supporters would agree with me but the umpiring performance was the worst I've ever seen in the Hills! I don't reckon it changed the outcome of the game but I can totally understand why the umpiring is as bad as what it is when the umpire's "coach" is that bad.

Yeah full credit to Gum in this game... wanted it more and played a better brand of football on the day.

Just to reemphasise the thoughts on the umpiring, and I stress I thought it went both ways and had no bearing on the result, but it was some of the worst umpiring I've ever seen in all my years of playing HFL. Really really poor.
Best umpire we've had all year has been Jonho, and I mean that with all sincerity.

This week looks to be a couple of good clashes!

Birdwood Vs Kersbrook - Kersbrook for me, they seem to be coming the Goods right time of year! (Again) I would say by 5 goals

United Eagles Vs Maccy - Could this be a close one????? Maybe who know depends who turns up for Cally

Echunga First Offical Night Game under lights at their home ground, Should be a good crowd game may be a little differnet.

How are all the Ovals looking coming up to finals time in a couple of weeks. Looks like the first week of finals is sorted

Qualifyijng Final -
Kersbrook Vs Birdwood

Elimination Final -
Gumeracha Vs Meadows

Echunga - Bye

Birdwood must win this game and win it well. It will be an important factor going into September against opponents with finals experience.

Yeah great 20gl win over the Brookers yesterday. Good to see the boys bounce back from the loss against Gum and play some quality team footy. Kersy had a few out but they certainly didn't turn up to play. The one that counts will be in two weeks time though when we'll expect Kersy to serve up something better than the tripe they served up yesterday.
A few of the old boys reckon Birdwood has never beaten Kersbrook like that!

Great win by the B's as well and good to see Birdwood has secured the club shield for season 2011.
