Could Balotli be more of a seed?

If Mancini has any Kahunas, he'll ship that waste of space before the window closes.

And get a haircut!

I might have a few $$$'s on Citeh at $4.33. Liverpool at $11 is way too short. Surely they're $20's.

I just don't rate Liverpool this season. Looking through their side:

GK - Reina is one of the best in the prem. Solid here.

Defence - really second rate IMO.
Carra is a haggard old battleaxe well past his best.
Kelly is an exciting young prospect, but not sure about his ability to play 38 top four standard games.
Johnson can be brilliant and diabolical. The gap between his best and worst is way too big IMO.
Krygiacos is decent, but not top 4 IMO.

Midfield - full of talent on paper, not sure about the ability to deliver top notch performances consistently.
Gerrard was once world class. Injuries are catching up with him and I'm not sure he can continue to have the influence he once did.
Downing solid squad player, but not top 4 standard.
Adams had a good year with Blackpool. Can't see him backing it up.
Miereles is a solid contributor, but again, not sure about top 4 standard.
Aquilani I actually rate, but he's very inconsistent.
Henderson young EXPENSIVE prospect, but not top 4 quality yet.
Lucas - no need to comment.
Spearing young exciting prospect, but not top 4 quality yet.
Cole - Championship standard now.

Forwards
Suarez - world class. Brilliant signing. I'm still bitter Spurs didn't snap him up at 23m!
Kuyt - can't knock his endeavour, but he just doesn't score enough goals.
Carroll - jury is still out IMO. Lots of potential.

So, with strengths in goal and up front and a reasonable centre midfield when Gerrard is out there, Liverpool should go OK, but that defence is very suspect IMO and without a rock solid DM after selling Mascherano, life won't be any easier down back.

You're probably right. Liverpool have a better keeper and more even depth. If cesc stays the scum have a better midfield.

I'd love to see liverpool ( and spurs  )ahead of the gooners.

Last season at Liverpool you'd think for a few of the injury prone players, older players and players who just haven't hit the heights hoped of them.

Aurelio, Agger, Soto, Skrtel, Insua, Poulsen, Cole, N'Gog

Some of them should be gone soon anyway.

Looking through the LFC squad Im pretty happy with say our best dozen players, but we all know they're rarely fit at the same time .. Hopefully this off-season (coupled with January) were just the first few steps in improving the best 11 and depth, because there's some ordinary players still on the roster.

They could.
Just think that the Arse will drop points early whilst they try to qualify for Europe. Think for memory you have Liverpool then Udinese away midweek followed by United. Pretty tough early on in season, just depends where Arsenals priorities lie

Arsenals priorities are to pay of a stadium and spend as little in the transfer market whilst trying to nurture as young as talent as possible.

I assume the Arsenal board are happy that Wenger is keeping them competitive whilst spending as little as possible without threatening.
