Mmmm interesting comment seeing as the same club is trying VERY hard to get him to sign a contract. Good lad with a hunger to learn and 19 yo ruckmen won't be the greatest thinkers in the game just yet. Port might be a bit miffed as he told them what to do with the contract.
As for yesterday u might find he was a bit sore from SA Country last week and didn't have the usual leap. Take nothing away from young tiller who was very good.

Also Francis a remote chance for the finals....
With our past three weeks and Mallees getting rolled by the eagles, the Roosters will not have a better chance at the flag.

Can anyone tell me how Malcolm Miller can be allowed to continue playing whilst he is under going
blood tests which if is full spectrum will take up to three months to complete.
At last weeks tribunal he gave evidence that this was the case.

Perhaps if someone senior in their clubs hierarchy, might do well to remember that if the PLFL's constitution is silent on any matter, then it reverts to the rulings of the Community Football Board...

What is the story behind the blood tests? Is it because his blood went on Ken Campbell?

I have tried hard to not get involved in this matter, but it seems that everyone in Port Lincoln has an opinion on it.

So I can get my head around it, am I right in assuming the following:
1. No charge was laid on the day by the umpires.
2. MP lodged a complaint before midday Monday complaining about the matter.
3. KC was bleeding at the time 'allegedly' from being struck by MM.
4. KC has possibly 'made out' to snort blood on MM
5. The umpire did not notice the any blood on KC or MM for that matter
6. KC continued on the field of play.

Is this heading in the right direction?

all good so far bluesy, but if the company line so far is still allegedly struck, then i'd have to say that kc was allegedly bleeding.

pretty close Blues
M Miller struck Campbell with a fist to the face
Mallees kicked a goal
Miller spoke to the umpire about being sprayed with Campbell s blood
Twice umpire Blewitt examined both players and couldnt find any blood
MPFC lodged a complaint to the PLFL on Monday morning.
Campbell attended the tribunal and was charged under sec 22.8 deliberate smearing of blood
The Tribunal refused to hear the evidence of the umpire
and subsequently found Campbell not guilty of the charge. During the evidence the MPFC Official acknowleged that
Miller struck Campbell and Miller stated the he had undergone blood tests on Monday.
Upon announcing the not guilty charge Commissioner Watherston then said however we are going to charge you with misconduct under 22.2 participation in match whilst actively bleeding.the league was challeged on the active
bleeding process and he was given two weeks suspension.
This opens up a huge can of worms read the rules and you will see that as it has been interpreted by the league
it means huge fines for clubs and suspension for players.
How many times have you seen a player receive say a wound to the back of the head and is unaware until say a quarter time break when a trainer spots it under the current guidlines Club and player are guilty.

I can only presume that the TFC and / or KC have admitted that he was bleeding. If not then the case could not have gone forward.
If they did then they have clearly contravened the AFL Laws of the Game.
SECTION 22 - INFECTIOUS DISEASES
Section 22.2 (a) (i) A player must not remain on the playing surface for so long as they are actively bleeding and (ii) A Club or Team must not allow any of it's players to remain on the playing surface for so long as they are actively bleeding.

Did the club get fined, because if not then they were let off lightly.

Two Boston Reserves players found themselves bleeding during the course of the weekends match.

Immediately, both players, who had been felled, got up, and sprinted to the bench.

Had they remonstrated with the opposition players responsible, they would have been reported?

Absolutely correct MP especially with that little fat one with the itchy trigger finger.
The onus is on the club / player to leave the arena as soon as he notices the bleeding. The problem TFC might have had was that by trying to challenge the 'active bleeding' ruling, you are admitting that it was active at some stage.
Also the spirit of the ruling would suggest that the player needs to leave once he or the club / teammate notices the bleeding. Might get away with arguing that you didn't notice the blood on the back of your head, but maybe not a nose bleed.
