i wonder how much (if any) damage was done when the trainer trying to help got caught off balance & ended up falling onto of young wundke.......i didn't see the incident as i was watching the ball travelling to trembath however a former sturt player told a former glenelg player (who told me) that the glenelg player was backing back & wundke copped either an elbow or upper arm but the was no MALice in it

Glenelg was crepe. Sturt was more crepe. One quarter (3rd) does not a premier make.

If John Hinge had not suited up for Sturt then the result would have been much closer; perhaps even the other way. Thankyou Hingey.

Kudos to zipper, purch and company for providing some much appreciated atmosphere and banter on Snout's Hill.

What a shame HOORAY PUNT did not have the mettle to come and say g'day to his favourite Bays fan. Coward.

Reckon I put away more beers today than I have done all season. Hooray for beer!

Fairly crap game to be honest ... skills were deplorable from both sides.

The Bays were just a little less crap than the Blues.

Great game by Trev "Beastie Boys" Cranston on his 150th.

Couldn't have been too bad a game with 39 goals kicked!

Glad Timmy got 8! Good return! Where was dogger?

The old man told me the bays got about 8 goals from frees? Is this close to being accurate or way off?

Good to see us fight it out but should have won against a team on the decline.

Gotta win 2 big ones and have north lose every game or we get number 19 :(

According to some posts over on doubleblue.org after the Wundke incident a few Sturt supporters gave Kirk a few verbal sprays (and rightly so too!) and then Glenelg Runner Kym Koster got involved in a verbal stoush with the Sturt supporters. That would have been good viewing seeing the runner engaged in a verbal stoush but Koster apparently had sooky attack and reported it the Sturt supporters to Weslo who were questioned and warned after Weslo described the matter as an Official Glenelg FC complaint? If true - Koster is pathetic!

Lucky for the Sturt supporters that "arsehole" Cornes was not there - I wonder what spin he would put on the cowardly action of Kirk?

Hooray for beer indeed! Great game of footy I thought. A real shootout, with the Bays getting the early break in the first and third quarters, only for the Double Blues to fight back. Glenelg were dead-eyed-dicks all day, and whilst Sturt weren't terribly inaccurate by any means, it was probably the difference at games end.

I reakon Kirk might miss a few games...pretty cowardly act from what I've been told. I admit I didn't see it, as I was watching the play near the footy. I doubt the ABC cameras captured it either :?

Just saw that Adelaidenow has put Martin in the best for Sturt...again!..what a complete joke. Hinge was BOG - he scored 7 goals...such a pity only 2 of them were for his team.

Best for the Blues were Thommo, Cubes, McIntyre and Crane. If Dogger Digger had played then who knows...he pulled out before the game with a hammy I believe.

U might want to go and stick that up your ass you tree hugging hippee

So we missed our best performing forward all day and still got close, then lost our chf to thuggery later on? Was Kirk trying to have sex with him? I hear that is how they roll down that way? Allegedly ;)

Oh well, a spoon can be used for certain things, like eating soup I guess

Given Glenelg's finals record Kirk may have played his last game this year. Then again, this is the SANFL, and you can probably make someone a paraplegic and play next week :? Grave Dangeresque?

I hope the young lad is ok...neck injury and broken jaw. Must have been some hit..

There's lots of assumptions about what happened in that incident and I'm not sure that many actually saw it ... I can't comment because i was over 100m away at the other end of the ground.

Firstly, I hope the lad is Ok and returns asap.

Secondly, if something occurred that was not within the rules then let natural justice takes its course. The severity of the injuries doesn't necessary have anything to do with guilt or innocence.

And may this apply to both teams....

Back on course: why didn't the Sturt cheer squad disappear at 3/4 time this week?

Soders on the ABC allegedly saw a "king hit".

If the report is true, the severity of the injury will tell us about the callousness of the perpetrator. i.e. I don't think you could call it "sport"
