That would have been good viewing seeing the runner engaged in a verbal stoush but Koster apparently had sooky attack and reported it the Sturt supporters to Weslo who were questioned and warned after Weslo described the matter as an Official Glenelg FC complaint? If true - Koster is pathetic!

Lucky for the Sturt supporters that "arsehole" Cornes was not there - I wonder what spin he would put on the cowardly action of Kirk?

probably the same spin you blokes put on alleways hit on murph last year tone!

True Mick but slightly different - problem for Murphy was he had a crack at Alleway who took the opportunity and evened up and unfortunatley Murphy ended up missing a couple of teeth. Unless someone posts that Kirk was evening up for an action by Wundke then it is different. I will say that if it was deliberate then way out of character for Kirk who from what I have seen is a very fair and composed player?

Had to laugh ,we both said he was no good !! Well in fairness he has not done much in his games he has played ( as Cuterman and I both have seen )but he was terrific today , marked well ,kicked very well and his work rate off the ball was good ,well done. Certainly happy if he can continue to improve ,I hope so.

you doht know shite yorrick, he actually looks like a footballer

Like you would've seen enough of his games to judge. Regardless, the bloke pulled a bottler of a game and good on him, he would've known he needed to and may add to a bit credit directed to Luke Norman persevering with him.

Which is very similar to the Chris Tarrant and Justin Kositschke bump on Friday night in the AFL.

Back to the game at hand, was there a final crowd figure supplied as yet?

Looked to be low for a Sturt @ Glenelg game given the crowds of recent years. Both Glenelg and Sturt fans were lacking; plenty of room on Snout's Hill. I s'pose the live telecast might have had something to do with it. I wonder what Yorick's excuse was...?

If it is in fact fair dinkum that Wundke was king hit by him (and yes he is very much has the right to be regarded innocent until proven guilty), then I do in fact hope that it becomes a SAPOL matter and charges are laid over it. - If that did happen, he could forget all about an overseas trip as people with recent police records generally do not get given visas to go overseas. Considering how Leigh Matthews was dealt with over breaking the jaw of Neville Bruns I dont think its an unrealistic outcome if its found that there are charges to answer at the tribunal this week.

Totally agree. And I think we should go one step further and pull out all available footage of SANFL games and follow-up anything that might constitute an assault. What is the staute of limitations on assault? We might still be able to get Johnston for his hit on Delina. And of course Bickley would get a decent stretch for his hit on Waiklin. I for one would see this as a valuable use of police resources, especially given that they are obviously over resourced and have little else to do. In fact I recomend the formation of a task-force and most certainly an inquiry with exceedingly wide terms of reference.

"hypothetically" what would happen if the umpires did not see a malicious act and it was not caught on tape? What if the victim was concussed and therefore had no memory of incident? Could the league actually mount a case? We would all hope so, but not that likely.

"Go jump"! Oooohhhhh. Wow, that's one from primary school days.... go jump hey! :)
It's good that you have a rounded assessment on McIntyre from the one game you've seen, even better that you use it against someone who probably has seen many more of his games.
If the reports about Koster are true then it's pretty pathetic and probably deserves a please explain from the SANFL. Not sure what the stance is with club officials remonstrating with members from the crowd, I'm sure worse things have been yelled out from the south western swill at the Bay.
As to the knock by Cubillo on the Glenelg player in the 2nd(?). There wasn't anything in it, the kid got up and continued playing, not many Bay players took it up...2 maybe at most. Big difference to blood streaming out of a players head, being concussed, stretchered off and being taken to hospital.
In the end Sturt put up a pretty good performance considering many things, one being down to 18 players by the end of the game.
Hope Kirk gets 4-5 at least. Won't hold my breath though.

I have not heard anyone say they saw the Kirk imcident. For all we know both could have been watching the ball qnd collided. At this point who knows but if a King hit you would expect him to miss remainder of the season. As for Soders take on it well the media never beat things up do they.
Could be a interesting video review of game Evans cheap shot to McMahon in 1st Qtr which left him down behind play for 30-40 seconds and Cubilo very similar low act on a Young Tiger. Both incidents didn't see much remonstration as they were so far off the ball.
I think Weeslow spent a fair bit of time with the Sturt Cheersquad after some foul mouthed tirades at the umpires early in the game. It was good to see the inteligent souls throw a roll of paper and hit Jqmes Plant after he missed running into open goal.
Enjoyed the shot out the game became and McIntyre would have to have been close to BOG. We didn't reqlly find a match for him all day. Trev Cranston was great in the middle in his 150th. Glenelg had plenty of solid contributors but errors by foot hurt us a number of times. The big difference was the targets of Kirkby, Trembath and Kirk up forward. The kids are stepping up and looking more and more a key pqrt of the side
