Seen a bit of the MP v MR game on weekend and MP were impressive and i think could take some beating for the flag, they played very well in 3rd
qtr when game was there to be won, wes was fed on a silver platter and i don't think any fullback could have stopped it. Doesn't look like they are
missing PD at all.

If Wes didn't fill the void, they've got Mooney or Mallee that could play the stay at home forward, just to name two.

Still backing Waybacks in...

Congratulations to Bostons on a very good game( in all senior grades actually), too good on the day and shows that a week in football is as long a time as they say.
Most disappointing from Souths, not too many positives to be taken out of the weekend.

I was told on the weekend the reason for a poor turnout the previous week at the club was because of the family camp the club put on out at the lions hostel

A couple of dirty acts in our Under 17 game that the PLFL should look at. I thought the umpires of the game handled the situation pretty well considering. I had concerned parents around me that were disgusted.

Over on the SANFL board he sacked his reserves coach Darren Mead this week after he told several u/18 & reserves players that they were no longer required with 4 weeks to go in the season when both teams are in the mix for finals. Very poor form from the senior coach with finals around the corner or is he just protecting himself?

Jay played in the reserves yesterday at Port. In the SANFL its all about senior premierships, not how many reserves or U18 premierships you win. When you sit down and look at your lists you need to evaluate whether individuals are capable or have the potential of playing good league footy. Coming to this conclusion doesnt happen overnight, but when you are certain you need to make the call, because playing guys at reserve grade or in the U18s who arent going to play league football just takes the spot of someone who is still a chance to.

What were the issues?
They do learn there trade early
Certainly in our game against Mallees a few weeks ago there were several
closed fist to the jaw incidents that were perfectly executed for kids 16 years of age.

Very ordinary performance from us on the weekend. Not to many positives to take from the game, wes was good and Harry was in everything and would have to be paying $1.10 for the mail medal... I hope the PLFL comes down hard on the 2 boys reported in the 17's

Harry's been rubbed out. Troy Hull thinks if they allocate votes on individual performances and not on who won the game, Ky Miller would be a big chance. I used to think he was a bit over rated, but after seeing him all year he is an out and out gun.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

Experienced it last week. Funny early, deadset annoying late. Jodie or Jaimie??

Gracker of a game at Windsor Avenue on Saturday. We might have won on the scoreboard, but I have n doubt that the Roosters are the side to beat in 2011. Some of their ball usage from defence was amazing. They have strength and size with a healthy dose of class. Thought Semmler was inspitarional for them at times on Saturday. Only question will be with Daniels going down, they probably need one more go to forward. Maybe they had one running aound in the 2's????

RF is all class, even on one groin.

Slots why would any club sack a successful coach (in terms of win/loss ratio)
and players this close to the end of the season ?
I could comprehend maybe after the first round or after the season.
I know sometimes tough decisions have to be made but seriously Are you really going to win
a league premiership in 2012?

Gee Blues! I thought the Demons were in control all day in a tight game.
The Roosters have failed to beat Mallees and Waybacks in the last two rounds
and you guys werent at full strength.
Your talls and smalls had the better of us.
However if we can both get past Mallees it will be a geat game.

Maybe they will not win a senior premiership in 2012, but maybe exposing these kids to higher intencity and pressure late this season, rather than the start of next season or mid next season, will enable them to win a senior premiership in 2013, rather than 2014. At that level every game the younger players play at a higher level the better.

Was a good game to watch. I think you guys had 70% of the play in the last quarter but broke down across half forward. Duncan had a field day picking off mark after mark.

last time we played you it was Levi who cut across the wing half forward area and took mark after mark
you think we would learn.
Was there a report of an official in the juniors Blues?

djd wrote:if what leslie done was correct, it doesn't surprise me. he is a very good coach and apparently a good bloke but he doesn't need to go abusing umpires in full view of everyone. he did this GF alot and even in one game againest us, he run from the coaches box at karkoo all the way down to the northern goals (some 100m) to abuse our goal umpire for a mistake. yes the goal umpire was wrong but leslie's reaction was shocking in front of everyone. guess what? the goal umpire in question that day has never done the job again.

I heard the Cougars coach reacted at three quarter time in full view of everyone this week and let the umpires know what he though of their efforts. When you really get fleeced, it's a bit difficult to control yourself.
