Sounds like everyone is keen for Marion to post a win! Good Luck to them, tough year, 11 players into their A grade side from there loss to Hackham earlier this year,would be good for the Young kids to get a win! :) :)

Bombers 14-5 defeated Vikings 9-8. Rigney kicked 8 and took the mandatory hanger. Big crowd, great night for the lights launch and 20 year reunion.

Congratulations to Emus club stalwart Lee Williams, who plays his 200th senior game today. With a plethora of nicknames including Lethal, Weapon, Injection, BC, Euthanasia, Nano, and his new favorite Willow, he is also fast closing in on his 200th nickname.

Cobras in huge strife now. They were up five goals at halftime with Towns on just two goals at that stage ---- then lost it from there.

Bit of deja vu going on today... Sharks looked beaten at half-time, went into the final break five goals down, Joel Harman kicked a goal just a second or two before the siren and Aldinga won by four points. Can't believe we did it again. Some very happy people at Shark Park tonight, and I've got no voice left. :D

Even the final scores were nearly the same --- last time Sharks 19-15 d. Saints 20-8
This time Sharks 19-16 d. Saints 19-12

Notice that Elijah Ware played in the Flies losing B grade team yesterday. Can anyone enlighten us as to why he was in the twos? Form? Discipline? Late afternoon commitment? Flies stacking the B's?

Fantastic round of matches coming up next week with the top 8 teams in both A and B grades playing in 4 games. The draw is;

Bombers vs Flies
Flaggies vs Porties
Snakes vs Shoes
Vikings vs Emus

Defining w/e for teams in both grades.

Good work to the Young Rams,well deserved, the scoreboard flatters Hackham. 5 of 6 goals were from Free Kicks in goal square,with the whistle being blown before the ball even left the boot! The umpiring in this game was disgusting, free kick count was 14 Marion-26Hackham AT HALF TIME. :evil:40 for a match would be exceptable .....Totally over umpired,random decisions, where no-one in the suburb of Marion knew who was getting it,especially the players. The old bloke(umpire)with the hat on, is a total disgrace,making calls from 60m away(cant keep up), then sledging the players about it when setting the mark, calling players 'losers', and worst of all arguing with people in the crowd :roll: ,instead of watching and controlling the game!
I understand umpiring is a tough job and not many people want to do it, but its still his job for the day and if you have a genuine hatred for it,maybe they should just not do it! Ruined a game where 2 teams tried their guts out all day! :(

i too was at the game...well done rams good win!!! the umpiring was THE WORST i have ever seen,and ive been around a while. Missing the first free and paying the second one all day, couldnt keep up with the play and couldnt figure out which way to point when giving a stupid free kick. Good on both clubs for the disciplined display they showed, because i was certain there was going to be an all-in brawl at some point which would have been started by the umpires. Just an awful umpiring display and the league need to call both of them in and read them the riot act. I know its a tough job but geez they nearly caused fights to occur because of the players frustration!
