I thought this was "gold" coming from that hypocritical toss-bag.

"Duncanson's character also has been tarnished by radio commentary at the weekend declaring – without proof – that he has dictated selection policy to novice Power coach Matthew Primus this year."

Proof, fact, evidence not in Michelangelo's vocabulary. How often this year has he tarnished the character and reputation of clubs, the league and individuals? Every article. What a weasel.

I posted something along the lines of how often Rucci, tarnishes reputations, somehow it didn't get posted with the 212 other posts. I also asked why the SA football commissions statement in response to his crap hasn't been posted, I'm sure that won't make it through either.

The Adelaide Now site when it comes to comment on Rucci and SANFL are very selective in what they allow to be posted i think the Rooch must personally vet all the comments received.
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Well....with some respect for Rucc, he doesnt always blame the SANFL. This article here, posted yesterday, goes right at the core of the issue and really questions the fabric of our supporter base. Personally, I reckon its the best article he's ever written.

Agreed, except for two points.
Rucci still states in that article that elements in the SANFL have an agenda to bring down Port Adelaide. I would like him to prove this point or to withdraw it.
Secondly, his article still leaves readers with the impression that the CEO and Chairman are appointed by the SANFL, which is dead wrong. The board of Port Adelaide, and the board alone, appoint the CEO and Chairman of the club.

Slightly surprised this comment got through:

"Port Adelaide supporters today are like sheep" - how DARE you try to tell me what I am. I think you'll find Port supporters care and the current corporate plan to bottom out hurts us like hell. Seeing results like we've endured this year hurts like hell. Sitting in the rain watching games where we don't put up a fight on the field hurts like hell. You're a political clown Rucci - you use your position to tear into things about our club that you don't like and then blame everyone else when your master plan falls to bits.

Frankly the (Big Kev) article reads like something a blogger would produce, not a so-called professional journalist.

But who is on the boards of the AFL clubs? The Adelaide board is almost solely elected by the SANFL and Ports is majority elected by the SANFL as well. So whilst it may be true that the SANFL doesnt directly elect the CEO & Chairman, you can bet your house that the SANFL elected members will make sure that if the SANFL want Person X to be the CEO then it happens that way. If Whicker & Olsen want Keith Thomas running Port Adelaide then it will happen. No doubt about it.

Which is why it amuses me when people crack on about how the way Port is run is a disgrace and how the SANFL should take over control, well they already have the control.

He doesn't have to prove it. An ex Board Member told me personally and then reiterated it publicly on SEN yesterday.

What idiotic paranoia. What possible gain would the SANFL get from deliberately destroying the Port Adelaide brand? A profitable Port means a profitable SA football scene.

Port have done the damage to themselves, by themselves. The SANFL never told them to tick off the diehards, then try to win them back by ticking off everyone else, then reappointing Choco etc.. the place is a mess.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

I just love the way Port people thrive on their own BS. Mate, when you make allegations, you have to be prepared to prove it.

Port have only themselves to blame , the biggest joke they played on themselves though was that 11 hour board meeting that finally ended with Choke o getting a 2 year extension , only to go and give him half assed support there after to the point where the position was untenable ....... well now look how well they are playing heh ? My opinion is it seems like the board have had too many dreamers hunting some glory that should have left football to football people . One thing though has me stuffed , now the brown poo is all over the fan , Mr. Rohde seems to always escape scrutiny yet is up to his eye balls in all areas and has been for a long time ? Surely if Choko had to go the same had to apply to Rohde unless he is the Real power behind the throne .

I've also heard that the Prince of Wales is not going too well and that the bar at the clubrooms will only be trading on match days.
Where are all the Port supporters going? :?

As much as it is a club asset, unfortunately the POW will only get token patronage until it is upgraded to a similar standard as its local competitors.

Technically it wasn't his money, although if he's giving it away to footy clubs, then we'll take it. Doesn't mean he knows what he's doing in the business world.

Pouring money down the drain though? Sturt isn't the club hemorrhaging millions of dollars from SA football.
