Just being clear, Glenelg kids are certainly welcome in the parade / donut giveaway as well. (as per West & Central fans in years past)

We will get them to line up as a guard of honour in front of the visitors race.

First - I'm short enough to get in the kids line and get a donut or two or three or more!!!

More importantly open to all kids of both sides so bring the kids on Saturday

Congratulations to Phil and our partners for putting on the day with all the activities

Hopefully the weather will be kind!

Sounds like a brilliant day for the kids, Phil. I reckon my boys will be very keen to get involved.

So thats the perception from the outside , hmm , that wont make Eagles bosses too pleased then ! :o

If the Eagles dont get the win this week , some interesting discussion points might be starting to form and anyone in denial may have to hide ;)

How would it go without McKenzie though , he covers a multitude of sins and has done for far too long , robbing the team of a class threat anywhere forward of centre . I ve been banging on for 4 to 5 years now but ..... Now what about the Eagles recruits ....... :)

It's amazing how hit and miss the recruits have been.

2010 you would say was brilliant recruiting - Grieger, Lewis, Parry were instant hits. Day is proving to be a good pick up now. Welsh wasn't the value expected.

2011 has been a total flop. Kite gone. Hentschel gone. Tiller struggling. Hall and Raymond TBC - hopefully ok long term.

Staple has stepped up well, but too much is left to Grocke. We have had the luxury of Salter filling the full forward role in recent years along with Passador & Welsh, but there is a huge hole there now (literally, sometimes we don't even have anyone in the forward 50 at centre bounces).

It was foolish to rely on Hentschel to stay injury free and Salter to not play AFL to fill that spot. As it turns out Day has become a much better defender and Tiller and Hill are not up to it in that position. Redden is a ruckman that plays forward.

Godden has definitely had to earn his keep this season. Still plenty of jigsaw pieces to fit and fast running out of time.

Aerie, would imagine Fitzgerald (season injury) and maybe Heinjus figured in planning our forwards at the start of the year.

Fair call. How has Heinjus been going? Played one league game last year - worth a try at this stage of the season?

PS. I see Salter is out with a calf injury. The Eagles should seriously name him on the bench in the reserves and just sit him there for the whole game. He needs two games to qualify for the finals.

PPS. Smith has been dropped so hopefully he plays for us and that would qualify him for the finals.

PPPS. Better win this week and/or next or we might not make finals!

Can't be done, was banned after we did that with Lippy in 1994. Not that it helped us two weeks later though...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Oh, I always wondered why this type of thing wasn't done more often. There you go! It is pretty unsportsmanlike I s'pose.

You wouldn't think Port would drop required players .

As predicted by Bayman last week by the way. :ymapplause:

Port shouldn't have signed him for so long as he is not much value to them IMO.

Eagles at home should win but Glenelg last week played some good footy at times last week .

In terms of the season, I would say this game will say more about where Glenelg is at, rather than where WWT are at, IMO. Glenelg haven't really taken a big scalp of late, to claim a win at Oval Ave might just be the spark needed for a bit of momentum going into the business end of the year.

Any chance the Chad might reconsider his decision to play with Glenelg? Now that Kane's running around for us they could've played out the year together.
