Just a note of interest to Waybackers on here....renovations commence next week with the new doors going in...Should have members bar completely refurbished by March...new pokie room should open very soon.....Pre Season will get underway at the club next friday nite (28th) for players and supporters alike...happy (3) hour, nibbles, pole dancing, maybe a hand of poker or 5, raffles...everyone get there for a great night...then I think the hard stuff gets going on the 1st of Feb....

Good thinking BTB there are a lot of people looking at this site now so a good place to post club notices - Late notice for anybody from Tasmans but tonight downstairs at the Yacht club there is a farewell for Lettsy and Brains at 7:00. And can confirm Matthew Boyce has returned and Shaun Ambrose as well.

TFC recruiting well by the sounds of it......

MRFC as aggressive as always with recruiting..........

BFC have a few new signings...........

WFC very very quiet on the recruiting front.............no bells and whistles from LSFC........

MPFC - will always attract their fair share of new faces

So it looks like - at this early stage - that TFC, MRFC and BFC are all in the positive with regards to to's and fro's.....maybe WFC and LSFC could be looking at a negetive return thus far??

Waybacks only need to get that one signature that everyone is chasing (DS) and they'll be favourites again for 2006 if not already. Perhaps if Rangerbob came back to shut down the Tommy Bomb again we would be closer!!

Still negative I reckon Rossco. That is a big signature WCP - Waybacks are favourites in the race from what I understand.

Although RB, Would've thought that if the missus was that close to dropping a bundle, the priorities wouldn't be on the cricket field anyway!!!

bystander, when the side would have had to forfeit, it proved what a great club man he is. Numbers are always a problem for us, every week, every year the B grade will only have 8 or 9 on a Thursday night. This is still happening this year as well....

Southern Eagles are Warooka, Edithburgh and one other who i cant think of.

I lived at Minlaton in 95 and watched a few CMS games. Crows are a nice country club.

Standard overall isnt too bad, although wouldnt be as strong as Port Lincoln. Has been beaten by the Barossa League and a couple of other neighbouring leagues in last few years. A couple of the teams who werent very strong 10 years ago, have been better in the past few years.....Moonta, Paskeville, Bute. Teams such as Wallaroo and Kadina who were very strong a few years ago have struggled a bit last few years.

I think they (the league) have an import restriction policy so this could influence the strength of the league.

WCP, as i said, "club selectors should use common sense". If Stiffy not playing meant a forfeit then "common sense" says you have too play him. I don't think anyone wants to win on a forfeit. Question though, on the day were the "real" B-Graders given a chance to "step up", (as they say), before Stiffy took 7/5. Again as i said "doesn't make for a good game of cricket" when one one the BEST bowlers in the comp. takes 7/5 in the B's. by the way, nothing against Stiffy, top bloke, even noticed that i couldn't bat to save myself and took himself off last year, i take my hat off to him, but still don't think he should be playin' in the B's, tooooooo good!!!!!
