Gee that would've been quite funny if they did hold a final at Lonsdale, pity the poor blokes that had to play there. What can i say, maybe they saw it as simple as "C grade final, better play it at a C grade venue"?

Nice to hear the venue has been changed to a more suitable location.

C Grade comment. With any luck you won't have to play there for a couple of years so we don't have to listen to you bitching about the oval. Not every club can have a flawless oval like yours.

Funny ... Courtney, maybe you know who Snappa is ??

My opinion is that we should all just ignore comments like this from people who aren't even brave enough to identify which club they are associated with !

It's real brave to snipe at other clubs and their facilities while keeping yourself anonymous :)

The C grade 2nd semi-final is at LONSDALE and will be between Morphett Vale and Brighton regardless of results tomorrow night and Sunday.

Its a stand alone game with no charge at the gate so thats one more Woodstock you can afford.

Sorry my mistake. Game is definitely at lonsdale.

What is the surface like these days? saying that most ovals would be average at the moment with rain we had.

Atmosphere will be a bit average for a final..

hickinbotham oval would be nice again thanks pres...

haha nice to see you on here! ;) I had a pretty good view from the balcony. No partying for me that night - Mr McSpaz and I had to get the kids home to bed.

Tips this week:

BRIGHTON vs REYNELLA Bombers too strong in this top 4 battle- 13 points
COVE vs NOARLUNGA Cove to fight hard but Shoes to win and Golding a lazy 8. 23 points.
EDWARDSTOWN vs CHRISTIES BEACH Towns in a canter- 78 points
FLAGSTAFF HILL vs PORT NOARLUNGA Great clash at Pig Park. Hopefully a big crowd in attendance and Falcons by 7 points
HAPPY VALLEY vs MORPHETT VALE Another cracker. Valleys usually give Morphies a hard time, no exception here. Emus by 3 points in a thriller
MORPHETTVILLE PARK vs ALDINGA Can the twisties make last weeks turn of luck count or can the Sharks crush their dream? Twisties by 39 points
OSB/LONSDALE vs MARION Lonsdale were pretty competitive last week in patches and will have no trouble here. Lions by 46 points.

Some big games this weekend. Be interesting to see how Marion go after last weeks big win. Big games for emus, flies, cove, valleys, cobras and porties. should be the most interesting round for a while now.

Be interesting to get some feed back from Viking supporters on Dan's performances. For someone with recent SANFL B grade experience he does not seem to make best players too often. Having said that, I don't study HV too hard so may be an injustice to the lad. Happy to be corrected, if appropriate.

Would love to see Aldinga pull off another win but I think last week was our apex of success, relatively speaking. ;) Should be a great weekend of footy, though - hard-pressed to choose which would be the match of the round!

Happy Valley seem to have forgotten how to win - after a great first half of tough desperate football they were up by 6 goal against Morphett vale at half time but then lost the game by 20 points. Similar situations against Reynella and Brighton where they have had the lead only to be over run. If they can manage to string 4 quarters together they will be tough to beat. Great win by our B grade by 10 goal - last time MV beat us by 6 goal. Season over for the U 18s thanks to a bye next week - can't remember the last time we didn't have 18s in finals and hope the club remembers this when they appoint a coach for this grade next season

Porties way too strong yesterday for Flaggies, won by 10 goals.

The Cockles seemed sharp from the start. A good crowd and great banter, was a good day of local footy (bar the result :( )

i havent seen enough games kingy to pass fair comment, but i know he works shifts so can only train every 2nd week which would make it pretty difficult i reckon.

Should be an interesting round of footy this weekend.

Cove need to defeat Reynella to stay in the 8, Reynella have lost last 3 (believe Milo has done a hammy?), Emus play Brighton, will they finish 3rd or 4th (should get a number of talented players back this week, or definately for 1st final), could be playing Brighton 2 weeks in a row if they lose and Reynella win. Shoes going along nicely and surely if any team can stop Golding they will stop the Shoes, easier said than done. Bombers and Shoes favourites at this stage, beware the Emu's and Wineys if they can pull it together?

Winner of Porties/Valley finishes 5th which will give them a likely match up against Parks, loser to face the improved Bushpigs (who have proven can take it up to anyone on their day).

I believe one of the most up in the air finishes to a season in a long time, with the most even top 8 for many a year, however i can't see the winner coming from the bottom 4 of the 8, but you never know?

Well here we are at the last game of the minor round for everyone, and still a lot to be decided.

Brighton will finish top regardless and play next Saturday at Noarlunga oval but their opponent depends on results. Can only be Reynella or Morphett Vale though.

Noarlunga will finish 2nd regardless and play next saturday at Aldinga oval but their opponent depends on results. Can only be Reynella or Morphett Vale though.

Porties are playing Valleys this week for a "home final" chance for them if they win. If Porties win they will play at Porties oval next Sunday vs either Cove or Morphetville Pk. depending on results. If valleys win this week, they will play at Porties oval next sunday vs either Cove or MVP.

The loser of Porties vs Valleys this week will play Flagstaff Hill next Sunday at Chrisities oval.

Cove can only keep 8th spot by beating reynella this week. Would come down to percentage and MVP would have to beat Christies by 300 odd points to climb above Cove if both of them win this week.

If Cove lose and MVP win, MVP will claim 8th spot and play either Porties or Valleys.

Bring on the weekend and then finals. Shaping to be the best and most exciting last 5 weeks in a season since the SFL went back to 1 division 11 years ago. :D

I think you can write off Valleys chances of causing any real damage in finals. Looked like they ran out of gas in the second half against a depleted emus side – and it sounds like not for the first time they have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Can’t see how the large ovals and warm weather will help a side with possible fitness queries. (saying that how can you not be fit if you had to do warm up laps at Valley oval)

Swooper I reckon you are right on the money - and I dont like saying that
How could a team have fitness concerns at this stage of the season is beyond me.
