We post something similarly cliched and inane and you'd squeal like pigs.

Four wins to go.

You say that like Norwood fans don't post cliched comments about dogs fans.

Isn't this thread about North and Norwood?
Where's your focus?

It's just a pity several other Central fans don't think the same way. It's pointless even trying to discuss a game on this forum because every thread ends up being about Central.

So, do North supporters think North are on the up???

They got their arses wiped ... but the really cool thing is that if the Bays somehow win the Elimination Final then one of the current top 3 (yep, includes Norwood) have to play them in the 1st semi.

You'd never live it down if you lost that one ...

Anyone have an U18's score from last night? The SANFL site hasn't been updated yet.

I thought that it was a good game. It looked to me like 1st or 2nd vs 4th or 5th. Unfortunately we are 8th and are likely to miss the 5. We could have done some damage if we could have got Stewart, Motlop, Wright and Armstrong back, because we really are 3 or 4 good players short of a top side.

I was disappointed in the crowd. In 2006 we got over 5,000 against Port and even when we were a poor side in 2002 we got a bigger crowd against Norwood than yesterday. There were enough there to give it an atmosphere, but I was expecting at least 4,000 people there.

Good time for a rest and then we can get stuck into the ferrals.
One week at time though but we have our eyes set on the prize this year!!!
Centurion, cant wait for the battle mate. You can't can't crap on now and suggest that there is any better team then Norwood to play at this time of the year. I'm sure you will as usual say Norwood are useless Norwood can't play Norwood can't beat you etc etc bout time you had a look over shoulder and take note Norwood are not that far off the mark, yes you and your cocky ferrals are the team to beat but its not all won and done just yet and a lot of football is yet to be played.
Top spot is not sealed just yet!!

I log on to see how some of the hopeful teams have performed this week and I am confronted by this

Deary me, I feel totally MONSFAWed. Being called a ferral from the team that gave us Garry McIntosh. Oh, the irony

I know that some have suggested that this poster was somewhat inebriated but the absence of typos suggests otherwise.

Perhaps the poor fellow has been concussed from falling lightglobes at Norwood oval. I had no idea that concussion can lead to such metal impairment.
We used to be good :-(

I'm still reasonably confident about North's chances of making the finals, rig, even though they'd probably have to win at Elizabeth in the last round to do so. They should have at least Stewart and Motlop back for that one and maybe a Crow or two as well, playing against a Centrals side for whom the minor premiership will have been already decided. A win there could well see North 4th and playing West in the EF, getting rid of the inept and embarrassing Glenelg altogether.

Some very interesting stats from the game, firstly no need to mention the free kick differential once again we were shafted. Would also like to see how many of their frees were paid inside their forward 50. Norths tackle count seemed well down aswell but the astonishing stat for me was big Doyle's 36 hit outs when North had 45 in total. The big fella was awesome around the ground.
Hats off to Jimmy Allan aswell i knew the little bugger had racked them up but 42 touches is a great effort against our midfield.

Just a query, obviously we are a very undisciplined team, not too many matches where we have had a positive free kick count.
Was surprised that a side that trailed all match would have so many more free kicks, we need to work on our poor discipline ;)

Nothing to do with discipline.

The better sides push the rules to their limits, sometimes the umpire thinks it's too far.

So, do North supporters think North are on the up???

Another poor start, our 1st quarters have been pretty sluggish all year and from then on we have little chance of winning a game against the top sides. It was very disappointing to see stupid turnovers that gifted at least 6 goals to Norwood. Deserved win by the top side in the comp at the minute, and probably shows where North are at. Norwood's big fella in ruck was a stand out and showed where Cain is in his career. Has been a great ruck-man but is probably past it. Miles in ruck can out leap most but the bigger body and use of body put Doyle in a different class yesterday.

North on the up? Would have made the finals if we had won some very gettable games early on in the season. New coach, new game plan probably was the reason for some early dropped games. Have steadily improved all year and have now got the tactics and the coach to take a good squad to a successful finals campaign IMO. Obviously need to recruit some bigger bodies to fill some probable retirements and get a fair dinkum CHB so Allers can get back to the goal front
Interestingly I thought a move of Allers and Gill swapping position would have stirred the pot in the last quarter

At this stage the minor premiership may still rely on the score-line of this match.

Great place to watch footy and has fairly decent facilities. Just needs a new buzzer/siren and a time clock that can actually be seen when the suns out!
Always enjoy going to Prospect, helps that we have a fairly good record there aswell :)

Dont worry - we have been hounding the club for years about a new sound system (which apparently is coming - believe it when I see it!), louder sirens and replacing that disgraceful time clock. Amazing how we can tip in $1.7 million of our own money into the facility upgrade and be left with a shitty siren etc???

Actually thought we had a pretty good run on Saturday .. Especially for the first quarter and a half.

One of the free-kicks paid to Gags for simply being bumped as he went to kick was ridiculous, and quite a few of us weren't impressed with the call (yes I know we scored the free, but noone likes seeing a natural and healthy part of the game being penalised)

From Bass' Blog of the game

Bass wrote:In perfect conditions it was great to get off to a high scoring start on Saturday at Prospect Oval. I don’t think I have ever experienced seven goals in the first quarter while coaching Norwood and it was an experience I hope to enjoy again. In the second quarter though the coaching box felt a little like sitting in the crowd with the sewing ladies at an Adelaide Crows game; “kick it, just kick it, oh please, kick it!”

I bet Francou was thinking the same thing as were the North suppporters for large periods of that game.
