You must have been watching a different incident.

2nd to the footy = trouble in 2007
All players/clubs/coaches have been told you can't tackle front on to a player who has his head over the ball......especially if contact is anywhere near to the head = Sporn can safely book his holidays for April...We'll see him in March

An absolute joke.
Borat must be thinking of another incident.
And I didn't even have a drink on Saturday and was perfectly side on to the incident, the Glenelg doofus sure as hell didn't start on the ground unless he defied gravity.
Broken neck or concussion?
Give me a break, you'd be concerned about a broken arm or leg every time a player handpasses or kicks the ball then. My god!

I see a pattern starting to emerge here.
He'll probably get 4 weeks if one the 2 incompement fools that were out there with Richard Williams laid it.
If so, I wonder if North could call in Richard for his version?

Not referring to the incident from the weekend, but what is a player able to do in this situation other than stand back and let his opponent take possession?
Can anyone tell me if the old rule of ducking your head in a tackle = HTB, still applies?

1980 Tassie Medalist wrote:yep once the player has possession and he "takes on the tackler" and in the process ducks his head it will be holding the ball.
the rule is slanted more in favour of the player who is first to the footy and wins position but once he has possession the normal rules will apply.
