Just looked back on the SANFL website re that game too - a very much undermanned and out of sorts Central that day. Four of our six best players were players with only a handful of games under their belt - Reichert, Barmby, Schiller and Haydon. Should be a much improved Central team in two weeks, albeit without Havelberg, Obst, James Gowans, Sibenaler and Dutschke. Good to see that Dutschke may still play again this year, hopefully James and the big Berger will also be back by finals time.

Cheers

To balance the equation, Norwood were minus captain James Gallagher, our likely 2011 B&F Bryce Campbell, Stephen Doyle, Gavin Hughes, and lost Tom Jonas during the game.

If Norwood want to win the flag Bassett will have to work out how to beat Roy in a final.

He is 0 - 2 at present. 8)

Fair crack of the whip fish! First year coach after all... ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing any side other than Central win the flag.

This is not because I am a Centrals basher, even though a few of their supporters on this site can be downright arrogant at times, and I liken a lot of them to Collingwood supporters...

It is simply because I'd like to see someone else up on the podium...

Would be an absolute pipe dream for my Souths boys to get up, so I may as well try and back Norwood in...

Perhaps Bass may agree to sit him on the bench and use him sparingly? ;)

Disappointing to find out so late in the afternoon that it's been "Talk like a Pirate" Day..........

It's been "Look like a Pirate" day for Roy for about ten years now.

Stick a trash talking mangy old parrot on his shoulder and he'd be a ringer for a scourge of the seven seas. (Insert own Gowans joke here. :D )

So that means neither are in our best 22? The initial post mentioned Obst (even tho he wasn't missing) and Sibenaler neither of whom will be available from here on as I understand it?

Ppl lose sight of the fact that it's not the personnel, but the culture that gives the Dogs the biggest edge.

Mate, if we had a fit Doyle last year, we would have won the Grand Final. He's a vital cog to our line up. Doesn't matter how many games he's played, all that matters is he's playing now.
