Shoes are looking good in both grades and getting players back at the right time of the year. The A grade have had a chance to win every game and only have themselves to blame for having lost to Brighton when up by 6 goals in the last, Flagstaff Hill when up by 4 goals in the last and Got jumped by Reynella first time around to lose by a goal. I think they will flex there muscle this week against E-town and be primed for whoever they get in the first week of finals.

From what I heard the only person being blamed after the Brighton game was the Coach. At least thats what a Major Sponsors son thought.

thought there might be more chatter on here now that finals are almost upon us! Teams talking up or down their chances of going deep into september. Flaggies would be confident of a win in either A and B grade or maybe both? Take the lid off and have a crack no-one wins finals without confidence. I think that the location of finals could play a big part this year. One team might be able to get a home prelim which would be a big advantage! I understand we have to get through this week first however i don't expect any surprises in results. The team that is higher on the ladder should win in all games.

So Noarlunga are going to finish 2nd, are they a lock to beat either Morphett Vale or Reynella? And you couldsay the same with Brighton vs Reynella or M/V. I also think the F/H vs H/V would be a great game to go and watch!

No-one is a lock in finals! I meant this weeks games should have no surprises. imo any one of the top 4 could beat each other on their day. So first week and prelim week will be very good quality games. I think 5 - 8 aren't quite up to it!

Anyone got the full finals venues and dates?

So Cove will miss finals this year? In the various proposed "two divisions" format, would that mean they would be getting relegated this year? Amazing if so, only 3ish years ago they flogged everyone and had what seemed like the entire population of Hallett Cove on the hill at South Adelaide as they won the flag. What has gone wrong there?

Emus host the Bombers, in what seems like a bit of a dead rubber really. However its the last time we play at Emu Park for the year so we will be keen to get a win on the board!

With the number of teams in the U/18 comp, is it still a top 8 final series for them ????

Tubby - With all finals being Under 14 through to A grade it has to be final 8 for every Saturday grade. It just wouldn't work if they tried to have a final 5 for the junior grades. It does mean you can finish 3rd or 4th bottom and make finals but so be it.
