I have no doubt now that Rossco is the Football Guru as stated by Ken. I got this email from betstar......

G'day A

Welcome to this week's Betstar Blast where the match of the round is a scathing indictment on a 24 round season. Instead of being treated to week one of the finals, we're faced with the prospect of the week's most enticing tussle being more vanilla than the time I ordered a snot block with neopolitan ice cream and asked them to hold the chocolate and strawberry.

Two seasons will hang in the balance on Saturday night when the Saints meet the Roos at Etihad and it will be battle of the yawns to see who can be the first to put their opponent in a sleeper hold. In the Red corner, we have the Saints, a defensive outfit who make Bruce Doull or Bernie Fraser seem flamboyant, and have an ability to move sideways not seen outside of the crustacean family. There is no doubt about the Saints ability to restrict any team to a losing score, but with an out of sorts Riewoldt, their ability to kick a winning score has more question marks than the Riddler's underpants.

In the Blue corner, we have the Roos, who are actually quite good to watch when they're up and about. The only problem is that the only ones there to watch them each week are their opposition, Betstar's Membership services guru Rossco, the groundskeepers and a troll who lives under the bridge at Etihad Stadium who just likes the quiet. This club has more marketing problems than the makers of haemorrhoid cream, adult nappies and bum flavoured toothpaste combined, and are one bottom three finish away from the liquidators. This year won't be that year, however, as the Kangaroos skirt the edges of the eight, trying to jimmy open a spot and sneak in, but the spectre of financial ruin always seems to be hanging overhead. It would appear that the mortal enemy of the Kangaroo is neither man nor drought as previously thought. Like a naughty four year old or an under-seasoned casserole, the thing that the Roos should fear most is the wooden spoon, as one of these would most certainly see the end of the once proud club.

Speaking of wooden spoons and desperation, the question of just how desperate the situation that the Port Adelaide Football Club find themselves in looks to be questioned over the off-season. With Brendan Fevola having kicked 33 goals in his last five outings, you have to wonder whether Port have fallen far enough that they would consider throwing the Fevolution a lifeline next year. On the face of it, you would think that it's a match made in heaven. Now I'm not saying that Adelaide has more than its share of bogans, but Fev could well be their king. You can't drink the water in Adelaide, and Fevola just can't drink, full stop. Port is a team completely void of leaders, which will work out for Fev as he doesn't listen anyway. Watch this space.
