great game from meadows in the 2's today, ran the ball really well and crashed in hard.
my thoughts on the A grade was that Echunga were soft, they were more than happy to give away after disposal and dirty frees all day, but when they had to put their head over the ball most of them weren't willing.
mind you birdwood did this really well and their ball use was exceptional!! will be hard to beat in 2 weeks.......

Echunga dirty????? You are kidding right? Plenty of niggle yes, but it was both ways! At one stage Magoo even Kneed a Demon in the nuts. that is the most dispicable act i have ever seen on a footy field, and i saw the head stomping last week!!!
Birdwood played well, no doubt but Echunga were no where no where near there best, The week off is a disadvantege if you ask me, just look at the Swans v Cats Result.
Would have though that you will see a different D's over the next couple of weeks.

That would make it 2 weeks in a row he has done this. Although he didn't make contact with the Kersbrook players nuts the intent was clearly there. You have to be careful going around dishing out low blows like this because opposition will remember and yours might be coming soon. Add that it's pretty poor coming from a person who is meant to be a trusted and respected member of the community, I know someone who was locked up for the night by him and his mates for less!

2 more weeks left.....

Prelim Final - At Nairne
A Grade:
Echunga Vs Meadows - Could be a close one if Meadows keep rolling on. Echunga seemed to be taking it pretty easy against Birdwood and were not up to the challenge, if they go out the same against Meadows it may be a close one again! But all that said I will Go Echunga by 5 goals.

Looks like the Grand Final will be at Kersbrook no matter who wins the weekend, What is the oval up there looking like?

Gee if last Sundays result wasnt a huge upset then yesterdays certainly was. To think the last time we played Meadows we won by 11 goal in the pouring rain and they turned that around, Kersy beat them by 20 goal earlier in the year and then they go turn that around too. Full credit to them, taking advantage of some poor attitudes from their opposition and turning in whole-hearted, finals type performances. If Echunga were as lacklustre as some here have said then the Dogs are half a chance Saturday if they play the same way and Dawe fires. Theyll have to be a 20 goal better side than when they played the Dees in the last round, but they pushed them earlier in the year and theyve shown in the past 2 weeks that past performances mean nothing.

yeah I must admit I didn't see that one coming but well done to them. I reckon Kersbrook were on their last legs, under done players and what not and Meadows seemed to have peeked, both in A's and in B's at the right time.
I would think Echunga will be too much for them this week but I said that last week as well!

Meadows were superb on Sunday and may just push Echunga especially if they're not on their game. Kersbrook's forwards were weak on Sunday and Dylan Bingos will get a Mick 'I only kick bags against weak teams' Asby rap if he keeps performing like that. I remember him as a skinny kid, but geez he's going for the Dermott Brereton look of the 80s with a Barrel Chest and Chicken Legs!

Mail Medal tonight. I think the winner will come out of the following;
Ryan McGahey - Birdwood
Paul James - Kersbrook
Luke murphy - NB

With Adam Waller from Meadows and Simon Muster from birdwood as a couple of roughies.

I reckon Andrew Feijen from Meadows will win the B grade.

Andrew Bailey (Ech) & Dick Kleeman (Kers) tied B grade mail medal on 17 votes. Tom "Vegas" Matoga (Bird) 2nd with 15 votes (not bad for 11 games).
