Shocking first quarters in every game and played catch up footy. Good win today even with some of the most INCREDIBLE !!! umpiring decisions going in Souths favour. Wont make the finals but giving us long suffering members something to smile about.

South have a long trip home.

I'd be happy to forfeit next week, give you a ten goal win and have no injuries. I'd love to see south play finals.

Is the city of Adelaide safe tonight?

Go North ... win next week and the Bays might win a final after all.

Seriously, South player tracking ball to the boundary, where the ball could have bounced anywhere, Allerway right on his hammer, when one meter from the boundary with the ball definitely going out of play. South bloke throw's himself on the ground and trips Allers up who then does a great wrestling dive over the bloke in an attempt to AVIOD crushing the bloke.
Good acting by the South bloke for drawing a free but the umpy was 20 metres away and had a clear view , almost side on.
What does this clown do? Pays a free kick to South with only minute to go and nine points in it. If it had resulted in a goal, I would have had to hold my 75 year old mother back from diving out of the grandstand and trying to KILL the prick.

:D :D :D IF and its a big IF we make the finals it could be interesting. North have won against all other top sides except Norwood. Feel we would beat Glenelg, Port[ have done Port 3 out of 3 this year] and be competitive with the other three. The game against Glenelg at the bay was won by C Cornes and M Mickan and without those two North are a big chance IF we meet again.
Good luck Dedja,

We most likely wont make the finals (and we and the others vying for 5th don't deserve to be there either) but if we did I think we would take care of the Gays 1st week, if we had to play the Eagles we would be 50/50, the only side in the 5 I don't rate North against is Norwwod

Well – a sad day for the umpiring fraternity in Adelaide on Saturday. Numbers are short but when one of their numbers goes missing, it leaves a big hole. Apparently one of the umpires due at Prospect got lost. He set his GPS to Prospect and ended up at Prospect, Connecticut, where he witnessed a game between the Prospect Panthers and the Waterbury Roosters, a fine game, by all accounts, where the general populace commented that the umpiring was sound, with common sense being used, the first free being paid and the ball player being protected. Remember that! However, I digress.

It seems that by the time the league was informed that one of their own had gone missing in action, it was too late. Phone calls to the league rang out, and it was discovered that all concerned were at Adelaide Oval stocking the bar with their chosen beverages in readiness for Sunday’s game. However, I digress.

So, the immediate solution was to hail anyone passing along Main North Road. With good fortune, a gentleman in a baker’s van was stopped. He was wearing white so all that was needed was a quick trip to Bunnings for some spray paint in red, blue and gold for the appropriate adornments. Bingo – he looked like an umpire. However, I digress.

It seemed that the gentleman in question had just eaten a Green Thai Curry takeaway from a local restaurant, and had a little left over, which he presented to the other 2 umpires. Little did they know that the concoction had been created with some hallucinogenic Asian spices, which created visions during the game of things he had thought he’d seen. Naturally, the other 2 umpires were off their game too, but the ring-in was completely off his game.

It was summarily discovered that the gentlemen in question was connected to a black market in green curries, which had been delivered to the men in white throughout the year leaving the league red-faced. True blue! However, I digress.

We can only hope that the perpetrators of this fiendish scheme are brought to justice before the Grand Final. You can see it now. Thirty seconds before the end of the Norwood/Centrals Grand Final, there is a stoppage 60m from the Norwood goal. Sutherland looks menacingly at the umpire as he prepares to jump. The umpire blows his whistle and awards a free to Doyle for inappropriate conduct (thank goodness the umps are miked up so the television audience knows why they are making a decision). Sutherland suddenly realises he’s left his engine running in the car park, and utters an expletive. The umpire immediately awards a 25 m penalty and Doyle slots it through. Siren! The Legs have won and Roy Laird pulls his hair out. However, I digress.
