Centrals would be sitting back laughing. Which ever team wins on Sunday in those conditions will get slaughteted next week. Would expect this weeks match will take a heavy toll

true, but i dont think the heat takes as a big a toll as it did many years ago especially with most clubs having access to ice baths, quick hydration drinks such as gatorade etc etc, players dont getting as much game time due to rotations and you would imagine they would have drinks breaks half way through the quarters.

Both of these teams would have been eyeing this game for a number of weeks. A new season now, and as we saw last year, minor round form means very little. The winner gets two chances at a Grand Final so plenty to play for. Grocke, Parry and Petrenko are very good ins for the Eagles. I am feeling confident about the Eagles chances, but it is all there before them.

TBH I really fail to see how the Legs can kick a winning score, short of Rowey going forward and having a day out.

Naturally I hope Im wrong and I'll be there supporting the boys, but I find it difficult to see how we can get up in this one.

Can't believe everyone is writing off Norwood.
Eagles haven't been cruising, having to work for their wins and I wonder how much more "up-side" there is in their game compared to Norwood. Both Eagles wins have been in cool and wintry conditions, so the warm conditions on Sunday will be interesting.
Hopefully Hall and Lane continue their improved form, Petrenko's pace will be important, given the conditions should we gamble on a Batley or Rimmington?

If Parry, Grocke, and Petrenko are ins for next Sunday I would expect Hoban, Lane and Tiller to miss out. Tiller might be retained as a cover for Grocke, if this happens Jimmy Toumpas would most probably miss out. Last Saturday against PA Treeby did not put his selection beyond doubt, but he generally rises to the big occasions.

Treeby is the '3rd forward' we need to win the flag IMHO - he can take a mark & kick a long goal.

I would play Tiller in the back line.

I still contend that Parry is the best Ruckman in the League & our chances of a Premiership rest on his ability NOT to get 'rubbed out' for stupid acts.

Norwood haven't beaten us all year - we have the 'game plan' to continue that trend.
(CP... how were you guys the underdog, after we had to come from the Elimination Final last year???)

Dedj barracks for the Bays bud so I was referring to the Quali - Don't think we were underdogs for the Prelim last year especially with the blokes you guys had lost to injury.
