Thank you Mooney...

Let's see if we can get you a fourth premiership (and by we, I don't mean me obviously)...

Go the Big Hairy Cat...and he is. While he spudded it up in that 2008 Granny (well he wasn't on his own there) I'll always remember Cam as a bloke who busted his arse for the Catter cause. Despised by many opposition supporters Cam wore his heart on his sleeve and many Cat fans love him for it. My main Mooney memories are during the earlier years of the past decade before Geelong became successful. We had a fairly young group back then and with Steven King struggling to get on the park it was Mooney who was thrown from pillar to post to fill the multiple holes we had in our key positions...we had Kent Kingsley as our gun forward back then remember.

During the years 2004 and 2005 Mooney was instrumental into lifting Geelong into the top eight of both of those years and the frustration that he felt in 2006 from getting four suspensions in one year burned deep to fire him up for 2007. In the early years Mooney could be relied upon to hold the backline together at Centre Half Back and have a go in the ruck. In later years he worked hard to present a marking target in the forward line or presenting on a lead up the flank.

Cam Mooney was an integral part of the Cats rise that has been often overlooked by non Cats fans and when he goes round Skilled Stadium this weekend I'll be raising a cold frosty one to celebrate the ceaseless efforts of the Big Hairy Cat!

Yep good post REB. You dont win 3 premiership medallions in 2 of the best sides of the past 15 years as an ordinary player.

Congrats on a great career Cam.

I will stick the boot in just once and say that he would have had one of the lowest, if not the lowest ever, influences on a Grand Final in his 1999 medal...
Legend though, and congrats again... :D

what will we do this week lads?

been fairly ordinary since the dees/suns games

Put Jimmy in the midfield and Chapman up forward where they belong for a start. We are getting crunched in the clearances and Chapman is running out of puff in the midfield...hmm....on second thoughts do that shit against Hawthorn instead.
