disgraceful scenes at halftime at centenary on saturday - JJ from MPFC followed the umpires to their rooms and was verbally abusing them about their decision making - when they went inside he then started on the league officials whingeing away at them about the umpires. Typically this behaviour was accepted by the league, I overheard Fitzy saying to him "I know Jack, I agree, they certainly missed a few"

He or anyone else should not be allowed anywhere near the umpires or their rooms and should be told pretty directly to f*ck off or ejected from the oval. What a farce.

JJ is a big factor in the soured relations betweens MPFC an the rest of the clubs make no mistake...the bloke is a dick anda whinger.

Yes the umpiring was not of the best standard but it was the same for both teams - just imagine of the president of the WFC had done the same thing....

One would have to agree. Rules depend on which club is offending demonball.

What officials should have said is "Calm down, or you will be asked to leave", not agreed with him

Correct.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

The fashion police have struck again on Saturday. Mooney copped a yellow card for an elbow, and Dunc sent off for wearing black bike shorts under his footy shorts.....
Mallees far better than us on Saturday, and really served it up to us physically. You are right KWF, with with the threat of suspension for wrestling / thrid man in, you are better to be the agressor in todays game.
Had to smile in the third quarter when Mallee Miller was targetting Rory Hunt in the centre square SD was only meters away and stood back and watched. Is their job to wait for it to spiral or step in early and nip these issues in the bud.
Great win by the twos, and gave Boris a deserved big game victory.

Rory certainly targetted by Mallees no player was protected by the umpires on Saturday.
How do you think this "NEW MODEL" for the league will go?
Ive heard most of those whose names have been mentioned arent interested in the concept.

How does your club work out the mail medal tickets? Do you players have to pay the $60 or does your club pay for you?

I believe the players that get invited(obviously well polling players), have their tickets provided. Where as players like yourself LDS have to pay.(and me :) )

As a League official, 60% of incidents from the Weekend i read on here...

Coaches, Club Officials & Umpires rarely report these kind of incidents to the PLFL

The PLFL sent a list of 4 B Grade & 4 A Grade that should be at the count (4 highest polled players) the clubs will need to pay for all players and officials that are at the Count, the League will then pay the clubs $60 to the clubs who have trophy winners,

I know the 4 who got invited from us so that would mean they are the top votegetters, but if they dont win a trophy the club has to pay for them. I am not in the top 4 so I have to pay.
I think that system is ok and the club should have no trouble paying for 10 or 12 so tickets (A 4+B 4 + coaches/officials). If anyone else wants to go like myself we have to pay $60.
Last year each club got allocated 2 tables, with some clubs not filling them. I guess one of our officials will be keeping an eye on our attending numbers.
The beer/bar prices were expensive last year and the shared meal was just a piece of chicken on some mash or a pice of steak on mash last year. Hopefully things improve this time.
