I agree with this too .. Although I've been expecting it for quite a while so my tipping and punting has taken a fair caning where the Bays are concerned this season.

I think our young-uns in the team will like the expanses of Footy Park and get across the ground better than some of the plodders from previous finals campaigns. Another thing is that a lot of the kids have had previous success at FP in the 18's and B's and carry no baggage from our senior teams failings from recent seasons.

Whatever happens I hope Massie will be coaching Glenelg next year. He's done the right thing for the club by playing the kids and should be able bring this new group through over the next three years (at least). It's plain to see who isn't in his plans for next season.

Bays assistant coach Ian Cox (speaking for Kris Massie who was in Melbourne for work) pretty much ruled Todd Grima out for the rest of the season with his back injury at today's SANFL Press Conference. Coxy was very confident the young lads he coached successfully out on AAMI in previous seasons will step up on Sunday. Ben Mules said Sam Rudolph will play for sure.

Ron Fuller admitted his side had a poor night on the track last night but was confident the side will be firing on all cylinders come 12;10pm on Sunday afternoon. Mentioned a couple of times that AAMI is the same dimension as Hickinbotham Oval and that could be an advantage to his side. Nick Murphy said the young guys and the club in general are really excited to involved.

Go the Panthers! (is what most of the Eagles supporters were yelling in the last quarter at Alberton on Saturday)

Seriously, South have played well against Glenelg this year + Glenelg can't win finals = South win

I reckon the coaches may play more of a role in this game than might be given credit. There's a lot of focus on the youth of one side, who likes the expanses of AAMI better and so on. What we have in Ron Fuller is a seasoned finals campaigner and a wily fox. Could be the difference, but I still like the Bays in a close one.

These must be the weakest teams to play in an EF for a long time :-

Glenelg 9/1/10 46.4%
South 8/1/11 46.1%
