KWF I think $60 is a big cost for some players. I think clubs should be paying for at least one table and have who they think deserves to be on it attend. I know footy clubs don't have money just laying around but $600 for a table of 10 for clubs to have a strong showing at a league function in my opinion is money well spent by the club.

I believe that Goodwin did not feature in the 4 invites from the PLFL.

Really only missed a few late. From where I sit, he will win the Holland Mcquillam by panels.

i would have thought that the club captain would be invited anyway.

I think the ineligible H Miller will poll the most votes.
Goodwin, Keatley and Konitzka to steal votes off each other.
Probably the same will happen at Tasmans (magic, semmler, mason)
K Miller, Kemp, Miegel in not enough winning sides.
Therefore my tip is Malcolm Miller.

You would think a low scoring count which could produce a surprise winner

Who are the 24 names invited scooby?

How could Jericho not be in Souths top 4 ?

Who would be Waybacks 4 then Keats, Kay, Cragg, Konitzka, Hunt ?

I know we all whinged when the Mail Medal was held on a Sunday at the footy clubs that we wanted something different. now we have it.
I really did enjoy socializing on those Sundays in the old days with Aldi Taubers dishing up the cheap snitzel meal and the cheap beer at the footy clubs that have atmosphere. The old fellas with the chalk on the old blackboards. Thongs and tracksuit pants. Merv Bawden reading the names

What are your thoughts, should we continue with the classy, guest speaker, $60 Lincoln Hotel or return to the heartland with a cheap day at our local footy clubs?

Where would you prefer the mail medal to be held in the future. Lets Vote, Footy Club or Lincoln Hotel

My vote: Footy Club

Daicos,

Can't remember them all off the top of my head and don't take this as gospel but think Tassies 4 were Cambo's x 2 ( which seems odd as both got rubbed out ) Dodd & Wagner.
Rangers was Miegs, Parks, Fox and maybe T Owen?
Waybacks - Keats,Konitzka,Joey C & maybe Benny Kayser
Souths - Castley, Hall, Kemp & can't remember last 1.
Bostons - Marsh, Arbon, Ky & Pauly Theo
Mallees - Harry, Mal Miller, maybe Quade & Wes.

Would have thought that the players who are eligible to win should be invited 1st and yes I would think that Club Captains would go no matter what.

I mentioned this a while ago TRR. How do the participating prelim clubs feel about having mail medal commitments on this nite? For one side it will be the last game of the season and half the side/coaches and officials will be at the MM and half side/supporters at the clubrooms? What are the coaches commitments, to his club and supporters or the PLFL?

Thanks scoob, so the winner is listed above people.
Matt Parker is an interesting one and he could be a chance. Terrfic palyer with all the skills and has added some toughness to the contest this season. He does stand out at MRFC and in a low count 13-15 might win it this year. Media Park might be right

In my day anyone that got suspended was not allowed in let alone get an invite. Now that is wrong

Heard a rumor he might have played his last game for Rangers?

As for this being on Prelim final night it is probably the most ridiculous thing I have witnessed since Ian Burfitt left town.
Clubs rely on bar trade to keep the doors open, and I could fully understand that No Demon or Rooster players / officials turn up on the night.

Did the PLFL sell thenselves to the almighty dollar??

agreed rosco the ones playing will just want to go back to their club for a beer, the ones watching are going to be pretty handy by 7:30!! have it on a mon nite. The 4 invited from each club are;
boston: ky,marsh,paech,pauly theo.
south: kemp,caserly,hall,lakins
mr: mp,miegel,calderwood,fox
mp:HARRY,mallee,wes, m burgoyne
T:[b]CAMBELLx2,yoey,dodd.
W: levi,joey,kayser,keatly.
Presuming the winner comes from here(with a few big names missing)I'll say
m miller + k miller tie for first,miegel 2nd, keatly 3rd
