big ask for some.

The tasman fc must rate D Steokle and P Forrest very highly paying $600 each for them to attend the mail medal kwf. They were the only 2 who attended from tfc. While the wayback fc came in at $300 per head (4 attended).
These two clubs could not find a player to represent them at our big night the mail medal count and this is truly a disgrace and everyone at the PLFL thinks this.
The wayback clubs lack of urgency in chasing the winner was a concern and the elderly gentleman who stood up and voiced his opinion, later I was told his name was allegedly Mick Miller, about no one giving a rats arse was a disgrace. My advice to this gentleman would be to think before excess drinking and opening your mouth. Who is this bloke and what has he ever done? All respect lost there.
Keatleys atire left a little to be desired also
Billy-o roderick was also up to his old tricks and had to be moved on.

Black tie event and you let Billy-o in...

They could have given the speakers at the junior medal yesterday some notice... I was six pints in and Schmidty called me up there... And yes, I was completely embarrassing (drew a blank not remembering who was playing in the under 15's grandy)...

Toka's face yesterday when I said to him "Gee Tokas, I hope all the winners are here" was priceless.

Glad to hear you have no problem with Beebs, I'm sure he'll sleep better at night knowing that. ;)

And you are correct, a local radio station driving upto to Kimba, attempting to call a game in an association where they haven't seen a match all year is always going to be a tough ask. The week after, heading to Cummins to call the Great Flinders Grand Final,.........same thing just a shorter drive. But an embarressment? Not sure about that.
Lucky not eveyone thinks that way or no one would have a crack at anything. Did you expect Dennis Commetti?
BTW it was good to see plenty of Rangers lads up watching the GFFL Grand Final's. Ran into quite a few at the Bar. I suppose they didn't have to worry about watching their own club in the Port Lincoln Footy Finals did they..............

Tangles Our invited players were all ineligble and were on the receiving end of a couple of the most appalling
reports ever seen. It would be fair to say that our club has lost respect for the PLFL ( my opinion only)
Hopefully this new structure can remove the existing Biases that are currently permeating the league.
The only questions I have regarding the structure relate to the model that we are copying which doesnt
have an all indegious football club within the league, was any thought given to examining the Far West League
Model?
Finally congratulations to the Wayback Football Club on a well deserved win it was a good hard fought win
lets hope this weeks game will be just as close.
Maybe the league will finally get the message not to host the Mail Medal on the Saturday Night of a Prelim Final
and on the Grand Final of Netball

I can't comment on the structure of the league because i have had very little to do with it

having the medal count on the Saturday night was not the correct time to have it in my opinion, but the clubs decided this at the start of the year and clubs start to complain 1 week out from the count, this could have been changed at any time if clubs had brought it up at a delegates meeting.

Firstly ALL of your invited players were not inellegible. What about those 2 players, your coach and president? Leaving Stix and Forrest to face the music was an embaressment for them.
We are well aware of ther TFC's stance KWF.

KWF, Tasmans should look at joining the GFFL. Proffesionaly run comp. Easier competition (some would say). Hell, you might even win a premiership.

From an outsider's point of view looking in, that is an absolute disgrace that clubs didn't have representation at a league medal count. This is from a league that is part of a State Country zone winning team.
So you've seen everything have you?

I agree, Tasman's have done themselves no favours in the eyes of the unbiased footy public. Waybacks should also be embarrassed. If I were a potential recruit looking at moving into town I would take incidents like this into account when choosing a potential club....... lucky Tasman's have the the $$$$ to make ugly things like this disappear from the minds of potential recruits

and Bum Crack - get your info right. Our Club President & wife, 2 x Board members and their wives, a life member and his wife, and a past senior coach and his wife - so our Club representation, considering the timing of the event - was more than acceptable. So before throwing a barb at our club, firstly gain the correct information, rather than accepting the rants of trolls as gospel.

Seriously?? You would check to see whether a club was well represented at a medal count before you signed? Do you know how ridiculous this sounds? Can you imagine the conversation between recruiters and the new gun footballer?

Recruiter: How much were you looking at getting per game Old Son?
Gun Footballer (Old Son): Oh I was on about $400 at Mannum last year so anything around that mark would be great.
Recruiter: No problems, well I think we can do that. Just sign here and we'll organise a night for to meet your new team mates.
Gun Footballer (Old Son): Before I sign, can you just give me an idea of how well represented you were at the association medal count last year?
Recruiter: WTF??? Never mind, I hear Tasmans are a great club and love getting about in dresses, give them a call.

And to be fair, the WFC accept that they should have had players there. Problem was between netball GF celebrations and Prelim Final celebrations we could not get any takers.
As Tk9 stated, the timing of the night was possibly wrong BUT we acknowledge that the delegates agreed to the date beforehand.
No excuses and we cop whatever criticism comes our way on the chin.
At least we made an effort to fill our table up I suppose.

and breidy you would still be spending your original sign on fee....

The only sign on fee I got was a packet of Samboy Salt and Vinegar chips and a can of Mello Yello squash in 1985. But you're right BTB, I think there's a few crumbs left in the packet but obviously the can got refunded at the corner deli quick smart.
