If a player has played only 6 minor round matches this season. 3 in the B grade and 3 in the A grade, but has played both finals with the B grade is he qualified to play B grade finals???

Definitely states 4 minor round games in order to play B grade unless his A grade side is still in the finals.

Bayliss was the difference on Saturday for Reynella B grade as he spoon fed his midfield all day. He has not qualified and Reynella probably thought their A grade would go through and he could play anyway. Bad luck. I would expect Brighton to win easily in both grades.

Thanks VV and yeah unfortunately I didn't qualify by one game, but the original plan wasn't really for me to be playing B grade finals so it wasn't planned for me to suit up, just would have been good to help them out. Disappointing way to finish up really...

Having a look on Sportingpulse it has Bayliss playing 4 games of B Grade so I wouldn't get carried away just yet.

As for the Brighton winning easily in both grades, I know there will be at least 21 lads making sure it's not easy.

4 games in the grade he is playing, is the qualifying mark during the minor round. If qualified in in either team and A's are still playing can drop down to B's.
Sounds like this guy may not have qualified for either, after reading it a couple of times.

See what others think though

The lower grade counts as higher 85 ie could play c grade all year and get a call up for a grade

Qualifying in C's means you can go up to either B's or A's Assert.
But players who qualified in a higher grade cant play in a lower grade if the higher grade has dropped out of finals

SFL provides each club with a hardcopy of all their clubs votegetters. It would be nice if they published the top 10 on the A grade and top 3 in all other grades on the website.

Will give the SFL some credit. They have the medal night running quite smoothly these days. For all the awards they dish out things don't drag on too much. No wonder South Adelaide are happy for the SFL to share their premises and host GF's, Association games, Medal nights etc. The profit they would make from a $35 charge for a bowl of soup and roast or chicken main would go a long way towards funding the player payments of Liddle, Cross, Horne etc.

Top 5 in Mail Medal were: B.Bayly 23, Pomeroy 21, Gulihaus 18, Ware 18, Johnstone 17.

As for the Bombers, in addition to Johnstone we also had Rigney 14, Norsworthy 11, King 10.

Good work Pommas on coming runner up in the Mail medal
Valleys also had Linc Rogers runner up in B grade, Jonas Grocock runner up in C grade and Anthony Collins won the 16s. Bet every one of them would trade it for a game this Saturday
