I let gepps know my situation early... You say that people either wanna play for a club or not, well if we didn't build a better player list, I didn't want to play. . In my first meeting with Sykes (when he was still at gepps) i told him upfront my situation with what I wanted to do this season with Gepps, that included adding to the player list. We shook hands knowing that fact. When Sykes quit I had the same meeting with Kym Flannagan. I tried my hardest to recruit players to the club this offseason. Had a couple of people signed up, who have decided to now stay or not play. That's fine, it's up to those people where they play. Pooraka asked me what I was doing with my cricket last year a day after the season was finished, I told them the same thing I told gepps. As it stands now, Gepps have not improved the A grade playing list from last year. Therefore I am going to play elsewhere. Gepps may feel hard done by, i apologise for that. I never left for money, I told gepps to pay other people rather than me to attract them to a club. Everyone talks about commitment to a club and loyalty, I told the club my position and when that position arrived, I did what I always said I was gonna do and moved on.
Money not a factor. The real reason for going to Pooraka is thier proximity to the meat works which enables you to pick up a heart before every game.
