Keatley was given best player which created a lot of talk.

Big crowd yesterday and generally well behaved so well done port lincoln. Billyo being the exception

Congratulations to all winning sides. 5 of the 6 clubs won premierships on the day.

Also on coaches talk for Bostons Brett Watherston will be offered the position, if he doesnt accept Brenton Beare will get it. Confirmed Zoomer will not do MRFC but will coach Lincoln Districts.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

I heard that at football yesterday from a well known boston identity that has a lot more to do with them than you mp.

What is wrong with Brett?

Yes, I have no idea...

At this stage there would be a greater chance of me coaching Bostons League side (also no chance) than Watho, he simply does not have the time to commit to the job.

MP I know brett is working on his travel time so can put hand up for tigers job. Personally I thought keatley was clearly BOG. Haven't seen a complete game like his yesterday for a long time or eva in this league.

eat humble pie media park. ask someone at your club before opening your trap 8)

If Watherston doesnt take the position I am told Beare will be offered it. End of story

I thought he played well but don't forget he didn't go near an opposition player all day and this allowed the peckers to set the loose man up and win the game

Those odds of the city job are a good money spinner IMHO

The Clark rumour to coach MRFC had a lot of momentum at the footy today.

I think the umpire was correct, the player must hand the ball back to whoever the free kick is awarded to, he thru the ball on the ground hence a 25m penalty was given, i think he then swore at the umpire so it was then changed to a 50m, so it was probably more likely he cost them the game not the umpire, and given some of his teammates reactions to him i reckon they thought just that as well.

Get a copy of the video CU. Huge goal saving tackle in goal square then short pass to pocket and then follows the play to then finish it with goal on the run to get demons within a kick. All in the last quarter after working his arse off for whole game. Inspirational stuff.

Interesting game of footy Waybacks had plenty of opporunities to win the game but
carrying injured players into the game showed in that last quarter.

All well and good to get 40 possesions but if the opposition are carving up and the plan was to play 1 on 1 football and have as many contests as possible then you are letting your side down by not sticking to structures/plans. Giving mallee park the loose man is suicide and they will beat you in the end unless you shut it down.

So CU you are saying that Keatley was the only person to not man up at some stage during the game?

Wes Bilney was the free man MP had all day and I not sure he was Keatleys man for any stage of the game.

I gather you a Wayback hater who will not give credit where credit due???? I'm guessing you believe he not worthy of his mail medal this year either?? (4th time mail medal and after the weekend can really see why)

I have nothing against waybacks eski, infact they are one of the more pleasurable clubs to work with.

Firstly Keatley is a great player there is no disputing that. The Waybacks game plan was to play one on one football and create contests all day. if one or two individuals, when the game opened up, didnt stick to it then the loose man would be created and that is suicide and in the end cost them the game in my opinion.
Man on man means going with Wes Bilney in the backlines where he set things up. Have a look at the tape.
