Not many of those people will get a look in daicos.

MP I wouldnt put much value on that side. Did I read that Meigel and yourself didn't make it but Ben Kayser did at CHF  . 'as if picking for mortlock' . Miegel and yourself would be the first 2 I would pick for Mortlock and so would any football person who saw any PLFL football this season. No Campbell bro's in your Mortlock side Bluey? One has to wonder if Handy Andy had have picked the side, the CHF may have been different.
What about coach of the year?

Also an interesting article on the front page about ravendale. I am going to send a copy to Burf c/o Whyalla City Council and I think you should all to do the same. Mick Bascombe thinks the $25,000 electricity bill is wrong  What a circus. What about the comment 'the outgoing manager will not be replaced when they leave' (that must fill them with confidence) Just cut your losses and close the f^*ken thing down.

Great letter to the editor also Andy. PLCC need to spread the love

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

We all have an invested interest in Ravendale now CU. Wouldn't we all be better off working together to atleast make the place viable so it at least pays it own way?
Didn't Andy Page appear on the front page the other day about car parking issues or something similar. Do the Times pay Pagey and Holmesy to keep it interesting? I must admit as I sip on my cuppa it beats reading about gay marriages.

CU I thought Andys comments were correct to a point but WTF has it got to do with Ravendale oval?
It is clear that Centenary got belted at Mortlock Shield and should have been rested in the following
3-4 weeks with some attention being given then.
As for Blueys Team, Matthew Dodd had an ordinary season by his normally high standards couldnt see him make my
team.

Interesting selections in the PLFL team of the year for sure.
Questionable inclusions imo:
Jackamarra
Dodd
Jericho(although his last 3 games were good)
K.Bilney

Questionable exclusions:
Jesse Kemp
Matt Parker
Rowan Miegel
Ross Campbell
Ken Campbell
Rhys Marsh? just
Castley? just

Where's the 'I was wrong thread'!! I called Ken Campbell for a MM early, foolishly without seeing him play, based on the fact he had played SANFL, was still young and quick as lightning (not an old ex SANFL on one leg). What nobody told me is he can't kick for shite and is a turnover king. Best game he played was the Prelim. No thanks....
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

These sides are designed to create conversation.
Can honestly say that the day after I met with bluey to 'select' the side I thought of an additional 2 players who could have made the side. Must agree that Dodd was very lucky, but Bluey is a big fan and was hard to move.
Just a couple of comments on a couple of inclusions / non inclusions:
Coach Horgan: Comment was meant to be made that Malle would normally be but difficult to captain coach a rep side
MP: Did have a good year, but in the games I saw he didn't spend much time at CHF. Mostly on ball or deep lead up forward. Stiff to miss out but probably his 'versatility' this year cost him
Miegel: No doubt a gun, but seemed off the boil second half of the year and didn't fire a shot when it counted
Campbell - Ross: definately not his best year Kenn- Ridiculous . Missed too many games with injury and obviously hampered when he did.
Jess Kemp: Choice between him and Mason...tough call
Rhys Jackamarra: This guy is a gun. Forward or Back would be one of my first picked.
Marsh and Castley: Both good footballers and stiff to miss but hard to get a call in the lower sides.
Matthew Miller: The lesser of the Miller brothers who had a remarkable year ;)

45 overs
Tasman 9/211
Charlton 10/207

Both sides understrength but had a good crack and a good game was had with most players getting a bat and bowl for both sides. The result really irrelevent. Cheers to charlton
