Edwardstown are different I believe, their juniors are the "Edwardstown Junior Football Club" and it seems the "Edwardstown Football Club" have no control over them, hence why EJFC is affilliated with one league and EFC with another.

Their Juniors are now joined with Edwardstown they are one club not two as before :D :D

I would assume that they would now have to withdraw from MSJFL or SFL (whatever suits them) in that case.

Its starting to look like the Wineflies will be lucky to beat Hackham
Just kidding folks, but for Reynella's sake I hope some of these rumours turn out to be just that.

Going by the rumours on here, talk in the street and the obvious. Here is a list of the POTENTIAL outs based on rumour for Reynella for Season 2012
Coach - D.Earl (new appointment not made yet)
Retired - S.Middleton, A.Procter, S.Smith, J.Bayliss (all speculated, not confirmed)
New Club - B.McKeough, L.Ciampa, J.Farrier, S.Bradshaw, E.Ware, J.Newnham (there may be more)

A fantastic opportunity for some of the younger players to step up as leaders on & off the field ... L.Ashmoniet, S.Would, B.Richards, J.Carter, P.Munce etc. A new era at the Wineflies appears evident. Hopefully for the club sake A.Broadbent returns to Oval Rd from his trip overseas.

Clifton been using his position at South u/18's to his advantage from what I hear, perhpas a strategic move to be involved out there on Martin's behalf ?

Hopefully they can improve by 20 goals this year and begin the long slow path back, the stronger the bottom teams become the better for the comp.

I would hope that is not the case. If so, clubs may be very weary about sending players to South in the future.

As previously stated, I hope Hackham have done their homework on SFL Rules.

Why? The SFL set a precedent last year allowing Morphie Parks to receive additional points, if they were to turn around and deny Hackham this if asked it would make them look a bit silly.

Agree with ZC.

This year could see the system under great pressure.

Take for example, a team like Reynella who have been very consistent for the last 10years. If all the departures/retirements eventuate then they could have a case for applying for additional points. Mckeough, Proctor, Farrier, Bradshaw, Baylis, Ware, Smith, Middleton, Newhnam, Ciampia etc.. you are up to 10 already. I am sure these outs would be a lot more damanging to the ones Morphie parks claimed at the start of last year. They can't go out and get 10 new players to replace them or even getting 4 would start to chew up your points allocation.

Some might say well you have to manage your 'list' and plan for things like this by blooding youngsters and so on but it is bound to happen to a lot of sides who are around their peak with a lot of older guys. What would the leauge do if Reynella applied for additional points allocation, as ZC has said based on the precedent set last year you would think it would be granted, imagine the outcry from other clubs if this happens.

So Clifton is recruiting from the nursery of SFL/SANFL football, whilst this appears a good plan on his part to strengthen the stocks at Hackham.
I wonder what the clubs who have sent young footballers to South will make of it after FULLER gave the local clubs a serve earlier this year.
Egg on the face of South I would think if it is the case that players are being snipped from the 18's by an assistant coach to go to another SFL club at which he is coaching now. POOR FORM.

Maybe he is unaware of the SFL 3 year rule regarding players coming out of the 18's.

Clifton has been offering some U18's from South's Squad up to $200 per game to leave their current club and join Hackham next year to play A's. Maybe he should develop his OWN Juniors to play senior footy instead of trying to poach other clubs juniors.
