Having seen them develop over the last couple of years into a very competitive side and then to fall away like they did in 2011 i would hope that something is going right at the club. You cant always place blame for poor performance on coaches. Players need to take responsibility as ultimately they are the guys on the park week in week out moving the club and the team forward.

If any Lions players are reading this they should all look at the bigger picture and work hard to pull themselves out of the hole that they find themselves in and when the rewards come they will enjoy it so much more. By jumping ship when it is going down you may find yourself bobbing up and down in the ocean of football wishing you had stayed on to help keep the ship a float.

Hopefully the new coach can work his but off to keep the talent at the club and turn the results back around in 2012.

Any news on Lion coach for 2012? Maybe Ray Hayes he is good at recruitment!

not really sure whats going to go on but you would think they would appoint a coach asap so he could get a move on and approach all the players.

WOW! thats big news   why would you worry about chatting to them i mean if they wanted to come you would have to have them i guess . But could either of them change a game or win a team a game? The answer is a big fat NO... They are only B graders at best in either the sgl or nafa.

I'd say having a couple of Hoares around a club would definitely add to the morale of the playing group.

Yeah when Ryan got married his missus kept her maiden name tsk tsk

She kept this due to her father passing away suddenly before their marriage... so how about you pull your head in champ & maybe keep peoples wives & family out of it!

Have heard Lions are picking up a couple of players:

One guy from South Clare, might bring a few with him.

Another guy who might have limited availability due to coaching Bgrade Soccer, C grade hockey, Sollies Bgrade footy and Blue Wrens Div 1 Netball.

A gun footballer's fiance has landed a teaching job at Pirie next year, so I'd say there will be a few clubs lining up to get his signature. Very good key position player and will carve up.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

That would cost the Eagles a small fortune, heard on good authority what Solly were paying him, has the Freddy Freer connection at Broughton as both played for Western United (Far West Football League).

Heard a rumour the south job is Boof Rivers for the a grade and adam grantham doing under 18's. Aswell I hear choco Laube has applied for the central job which has no chance with his reputation and will lose players.

Cannot confirm either of these but both these are the word from Pirie-
- Ash Dunkley has the Lions job
- Jarad Davies has the Solly job (with a related man on the magnets)
If true I believe both will be great appointments for their respective clubs.
