Are you serious about graffiti vandals ? If so can you enlighten us all on what they have done ?
Any reports about the Nyrstar sponsorship ?
Will any clubs be dirty if changes in ovals cost them a game because of the weather ?
Have we had enough rain to cancel turf games ?

Well done to Wandies and Risdon B grade for coming to a solution and playing at Pirie West when Port Oval was unable to be played on in the morning. Both teams just want to play cricket. And a big hand to the umpire for agreeing and doing what he is supposed to do and umpire cricket.
But an even bigger shout out to Strykers and Port Germein, who carried on and played their game even though the umpire didn't want a bar of it. Both teams just wanted to play cricket. And they did. Without an umpire. The players were happy with the field, and it's not like the umpire had to bat on the pitch or run through the outfield! But hey, some people need to make big decisions to feel relevant.

I obtained one and it tells me the umpire only, makes the decision and the two captains can if there is no umpire. It is simple, a none issue. The game should not have been played, totally irresponsible. What if a player had been injured badly. The officials have got no choice but to back the umpire and both teams should be told they had a practice match only. AD needs to decide if the assoc should have rules and if they should apply them. I am also informed that it is the clubs themselves that put these rules in, so AD should get his club to change the rule. If your last comment is referring to the umpire it reflects more on you than him. The fellow is only doing what he has to under the rules.

These rules are obviously not clear enough. Southport vs Props in the first week was called off at the whim of one of the teams, not the umpire. So who has the say? the teams or the umpire?
Fair play to Strykers and Port Germein for letting their players have a game. If Germein have their points taken away, so be it. At least the kids got a bat and bowl.

Either way I don't care as said umpire does not want to umpire as anymore.

Who is raising the issue? Is it Strykers or from elsewhere?

Credit to him- he wasn't the one to call off the Southport vs Props A grade game. But I bet he'd like to have been.

From all reports both teams enjoyed it and i heard rumbling of it being almost better to play on than complex 2. Good to see we have another option in the battle against the weather.
