Will EHL come back again, or will he let sleeping dogs lie........

Almost worth staying up for this......
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Ater being delirious with Heat Stroke, he's now in intensive care, being re-hydrated, mumbling incoherently "Eagles will be premiers in 2006" Psychiatric assessment to follow.

But hell your only as good as your last game that means Centrals are the best Then the Eagles and then daylight

Wrong, if you're only as good as you're last game then the Eagles, Port, North, Sturt, South, West and Glenelg are all losers and Norwood and Central are the only winners.

So be it Wedgie :D

Now that you lot have all finished dreaming, heres how it is. Yes we have lost 6 quality players but we have gained 2 good players back from the AFL, Ware will be back after his knee op and there is some good kids who were blooded last season. Only 7 players had played in all 5 Premiership teams with a total of forty different players tasting premiership success. Of the seven, Slade, Steinberner and the Gowans boys are lining up again. 2006- The Year of the Dog.

No one is disagreeing with you giffo - except for the Eagles fans - you may have to repeat yourself a few times until it registers with them because according to a few on this topic they have won it for 2006!

Looks like one of their key signings has gotten himself in a big pickle once again off the field, as was reported in Saturday's (21/7) Advertiser. Don't know how well this has gone down at Eagle land but I guess we would have heard by now if they had set him free, as the incident occured a couple of months back.

While I've always had the greatest admiration for this bloke's football ability, I guess some people just never learn

Oh well, the missus must have forgiven him for his recent 'indiscretions' at least, as their engagement is still on.

Hope for the Eagles sake that this is just a minor speed bump.

The Eags finally look like they have the team to beat. With a set of twins who are supposed to be just as good if not better than the Gowans at doggie land, all Eagles supporters should be excited as it looks like we're going to the promised land, finally we should see premiership celebrations at Oval Ave. With Centrals losing years of experience it looks as though North will be our only true challenge but even they are not proven in the heat of finals. Bring on 2006 I can't wait. What do you all think?

Jesus, people so narky, and it's just tipped January.

Every year is a new year. New players, new morale, new games. Every game is different.

I don't give a toss who people say will finish where. I know in my mind the teams I'll be nervous about being level with at 3/4 time. I'll know the ones against whom I won't be.

I know the players I'll watch out for, and who not to.

Always makes me take notice, how almost being the best gives people much more ammunition against you than the teams that didn't get there to fail.

And yet the result remains the same....Centrals top, Eagles second and North blowing the double chance 4th. Same top four as last year with the rest fighting over the scraps.

regards,

True - but just because the games and results are different - the wash in the end can be the same.

North 13 premierships 46% win rate in GFs
WWT 1 premiershp 20% win rate in GFs

Even if you want to take details only since the Eagles were formed its
1 premiership each but North's win ratio of 100% is a bit more impressive than the Eagles 20%!!!

Even if you don't want to delve into the history books and only want to look at 2005 the total scores between the clubs were:
NORTH 46-30 (306)
EAGLES 41-35 (285)

We have EVERY right to taunt you!
:D

PS I look forward to Rd 1 too! Cu then!

An Eagles supporter on here said you're only as good as you're last game.
ie 11pt loser > 28pt loser

Eags are always the team to beat.

Unfortunately for them, its the dogs that do it consistently...
