Supposedly. I believe Fev will be discussed at a board meeting tonight.

Do you think Norwood should recruit Fev Fester?

Also, how well do you think Ben Warren and Fev would work along side each other in the Redlegs forward line?

Good to see the Glenelg 5th Column is still in existance at Sturt, with Sandy...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I would love to see Fev in a red and blue Guernsey!!! Sadly I don't think my club has the testicles to recruit him.
Warren at CHF and Fev at FF works for me!

And Norwood is getting a 5th column at Magpie headquarters

Whether that is good or bad would depend on personal opinion tho. :?

I'd hope Norwood would have more sense than even consider him seriously.
He could do more environmental harm to player's attitudes than good on the field..

Fev would defiantly be worth the risk. Off field he can only be a danger to himself. On the field can win games of footy by himself. I think an AFL club will see if he can stay out of trouble during the off season, and if he can grab him in the preseason or rookie draft.

Carlton and Brisbane clearly didn't think that was the case. And given how nobody else seems to have much more than a passing interest it appears most AFL clubs feel the same. Any SANFL recruiting him would be doing themselves a major disservice being as naive as you.

at SANFL level the risk would be minimal. Would be great to see

Could well be the case, but you'd have to raise the issue and try to ensure he wasn't a negative influence on your players. I agree it would be great to see some of these guys running around SANFL but with his past, you can't just assume Fev will play nice.

Highly unlikely Fev will play SANFL next year, but if he was available then there is a few clubs who would be silly not to take the punt. It would be naive of you Grahaml to think every player at Central is a good influence.

Just a personal opinion and nothing else, but I would have thought that - IF they had the finances to do so (and looking over their squad, and assuming that they weren't near the cap with their current squad), and IF they could find the human resources to do so (eg keeping an eye on him), and IF they could maximise the benefit from having him there, both on and off field - the club that would benefit the most from him would be Port Magpies.

That's not to say it could/would happen, but just an observation, from where their squad is at (looking entirely on field only, and leaving aside off field issues), where their main deficiencies are and the probable membership increases as a result.

I was thinking Port, Norwood and Glenelg CK. Maybe West.

As long as the salary cap takes into account the 'net' salary for a player, then any SANFL club can afford to pay Fev $1M per year if they ensure that he gambles it all away at the club.

Yeah, he spent some time with Norwood as well.
