Is he a former Div 1 coach? Personally I think the Dees will be fine next year

Does that mean that Lennon hasn't actually been appointed, or has the Courier not heard the news yet?

Ryan Mcgahey? He wants top dollar so he will only end up at Blackwood, Mt Barker, Uraidla or T.Valley as i dont think anyone else would pay that sort of money

I think the guy Panther is referring to hasnt coached Div 1. Coached another country team previously, and he will bring some quality with him.

Would be good to see the people's coach return.
Mad Dog Taylor wouldn't allow this to happen. Said SJ is as important to Mad Dog, as a purple velvet handbag is to Morrie.
Have Echunga already had a nibble at the Impact Umpire/Coach already.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

There was a rumour that an Echunga committee member believed Johnno's whistle blowing could be useful at Echunga training nights in 2012 ..... not sure the 'maggots' would clear their best 1st year umpire though !

The position of HFL President is up for election at the next AGM, surely we can replace the incompent one that currently occupies the position. It's time for a change (for the better).

Afterthesiren- might be worth you putting your hand up instead of gobbing off on an anonymous forum.

Not gobbing off clown just stating a fact, the position is up for election and it'd be good to see someone else in the role. Im assuming you walk Owens dog and cook his dinner. :)

Neither actually, just dont like cheap potshots at someone trying to do his best in a role that nobody else wants.

I don't think that it is a case of "no one else wants" the job. I am informed thata couple of people have the desire to do the job but current circumstances do not allow it. It requires a large amount of time; anyone who is employed full time really cannot do the job justice.

Hardly a cheap shot FTO. Most clubs are well aware of Owens incompetencies. I partly agree with Armytank but there are many Presidents from other leagues that have full and part time jobs and still manage to run their league without complaint. It's time for a change and if anyone's willing to take the role on they should be seriously considered.

It is a pot shot when you say a guy that has been voted in by your club every year he has done it is incompetent. If it's time for a change, put your hand up - but we all know you won't because you prefer to take pot shots at the HFL pres and Blackwood.

Don't forget that he is the pres of the biggest league (outside of SAAFL) in the state and it certainly wouldn't be an easy job.

No doubt Owen's got his downfalls and I've had plenty of run-ins with him but it's the board's job to pull him into line if he is doing things wrong and they don't seem to be doing that.
