Shortman what is happening out there at gummer land have heard you blokes may have lost a few Graham, Hutt, Prowse, Bellman to name a few have people had enough of Thommo or is it because of other reasons. On a brighter note for you guys have heard you may of picked up a playing assistant coach from Virginia

I also heard this today but don't know who the challenger is either. I think Owen needs a rest from the League and the League a rest from him. There truly must be a time when change must happen for the good of all stakeholders. I think Owen would be valued, welcomed and treated like a V.I.P. at any HFL game anywhere, anytime. But there is a time to let go.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

If anyone's interested, I know of a Riverland tall who's looking for a new home.
Moving to the city for work but wishes to play country footy still.
I reckon this league would be a good fit for him.
PM me and we can talk.

Need a bit more than Mark Vettesse to get Maccy back on track, where has he played the last couple years haven't seen him around much. Without seeing him play i reckon the Nairne FFWD recruit would be a GUN massive boost for them. As for the guy from Virginia won't fit in too well at Gums, too old too slow ;)

In short yes I reckon thats got something to do with it, whether thats the players being a bit weak or whatever I dont care to comment about that in the main forum but I do know a few players may have been 'less than enthused' about the re-appointment.

What draft picks did Virginia and Gumeracha use for the swapping of Graham and Johnston?

Whispers going around that some people at Birdwood are sick and tired of paying mercenaries to come up the Hill to play footy for them. Understand Dawson is heading back to TTG and McGahey being hotly pursued by Uraidla. Might be more of a youth policy push for the Roosters in 2012.

If Quino stays on at the pies next year gum will be boasting the largest salary cap for the comp in 2012.
WOW Johnston Graham and Ashby in the same side $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Surely a premiership is expected now?

McGahey from Birdwood is on $700 a game and you would think that would be the most since Torrens Valley left for Hills Central.

McGahey may not be the only one on that sort of coin at Birdwood next season a past player who has been playing at Payneham is heading back after knocking back an offer from Barrossa for $600 a game
