Lindsay Bassani, he started his coaching in early 2000's at encounter bay and more recently has been in sydney, where he coached macquarie uni. last season. I wasn't able to make the meet the coach on sunday, but think the lads had a good first impresion.

Good luck with this guy hope he has improved as a coach . big talker , no action .hope Echunga have got plenty of money in the bank

Yes Echunga have picked up another 'Impact Coach' here. He wouldn't have come cheap either, and neither will Prokopec if he joins the Deez. Does Gary Hughes have some link with Echunga!

So makes you say that Footy Warrior? Has he coached you before? Did he pay you big dollars? Are you his Manager or Accountant?

I think Echunga will have a bit more point to play around with then people think. As players that were worth points last year and previous year have been at the club now for some time and are now 0 points. So it may be more then just rumors?

Yeah that may be the case, but Bevelander and Threadgold are definitely still worth 2 each. They will only have ten so that gives them 6 at the most, and I dont know their side that well so they may have more point players.

If he's changed so be it, but I will be very surprised if he lasts a year or two with Echunga's obviously high expectation of their coach

What do you mean by that? He was at Encounter Bay for 2 years before having to relocate to Sydney for work, took a year off from coaching. He coached at Manly for one season before changing clubs due to work requirements and travel. Now he's back he's obviously ready to sink his teeth into coaching again and seems like he has been very fotunate to step into a very good position at a successful club.
Also, with what seems to be some heavy restrictions on points I doubt very much he will be spending money on recruiting.
Seems to me you have a personal grudge against the bloke and considering it seems you are tied up at Gumeracha what personal experience have you even had with Bassani?
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

If you ask most of the encounter bay boys they will tell you he was one of the best coaches they have had, great recruiter, good motivator, excellent footy brain, keeps the players honest and makes sure the club does well socially. Good pick up IMO

Wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Is is right that Tyson is banned from Amateur football league anyhow.

How close is Meadows to ultimate success? It seems they have a top coach at a well structured club now after a couple of difficult years. What do they need to take the next step?Gun recruits or a continued development cycle,Dave certainly has contacts with best kids out of both Central and Country from his association training,Meadows has the potential of a dynasty!!!

Turner from Marion to Goolwa and now to meadows for big $$. Not sure what they need to go to next level but that seems a strange move. 2 average years at 2 very average teams
